Why not just build two or three pistons under each other, then setup all of them mac range to the highest of one block and thats all , you need only to set button for one piston to move to the second floor,unite two of them into group “third floor “ and so on..

This design is more compact then simply placing the pistons above eachother

Sounds wicked! Excellent choice on the exhaust. When you did the carbon clean, did you walnut shell blast the valves or did you use a chemical through the intake? I just got a 4.2 S5 and couldn't be happier.
@demize74982 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The carbon clean was done with walnut shell blast that my amazing local Euro shop did, cost about $1k, but 100% worth it. I noticed a massive difference on the drive home, throttle response was immediate and my fuel milage want up slightly... Still a V8 with a drinking problem though haha.

Amazing car man, how much is maintenance for it? I was thinking of getting one.
@demize74982 жыл бұрын
Thank you... Maintenance hasn't been bad at all. Pretty much like any ole car as long as you take car of it, I personally do a oil change every 4k miles or so. Biggest issues I've had was the carbon cleaning at 130k miles and she's been wanting to overheat when going up long mountain roads, so it'll be getting a new thermostat and water pump at the end of the month. But overall, this car has been hands down the most reliable vehicle I've owned and is a blast to drive.

Are you getting mad over people crossing the line for 2 seconds with plenty of visibility? Wtf lol
@demize74982 жыл бұрын
This is the Tail of the Dragon, 318 curves (mostly blind) in 11 miles of back country "highway". This road is extremely popular for this reason, crossing the double yellow I strictly shamed upon regardless if you can "see through the curve" or whatever other asinine excuses people make. There is a very, very real chance of someone hauling ass in the opposite direction and with said vehicles occupying the other lane, even slightly over, there's a 99% probability that the opposite traffic will collide into the offender or end up in the ditch/off the side of the mountain. There are zero excuses for crossing the double yellow, people have died because of others doing so, especially those on crotch rockets. There's literally a tree at Dale's Gap that has car and motorcycle parts hanging off of it like a Christmas tree as an example.
@cyka94482 жыл бұрын
@@demize7498 Understandable but it’s literally impossible to collide with someone at that corner. There was no one around anyways and you CAN see in front of you there. Crossing double yellows is dangerous of course but nothing bad will happen at that corner unless it’s night or there’s a lot of traffic.
@demize74982 жыл бұрын
@@cyka9448 Doesn't matter one bit if you can see through the corner or not. It's simply about the principle of proper driving technique. The double yellow, especially on this road, should be considered as an impervious wall that you can not cross over. Doesn't matter if you can see a mile through the corner or three inches, the very fact that these two, along with countless others, who do cross the double yellow on this road simply show that they not only can not properly drive and shows lack of experiencebehind the wheel, but they obviously do not care about others on the roadway either as this does in fact put others in the line of danger. There's absolutely zero excuse to cross that line, unless properly directed by those ground guiding due to a wreck.

How had reliability been with having 130k on the clock? Also how’s MPG? Killer sound brother!! 🔥
@demize74982 жыл бұрын
Got its first carbon clean at 130k, has been absolutely reliable since then. It started to misfire here and there prior to the cleaning. MPG is still great, typically get around 330 range during the winter and 360 range in the summer, also taking into account if driving it hard or calmly lol. And thank you, this next year, I have a lot of plans for it as I want to build it to be a car show killer. Haha.

Haha this is so complicated it's not even funny. I just wanted to be able to make a 1 block piston that reaches 8 blocks not some huge contraption. Guess I'll have to look for a mod. Sometimes this game makes me so angry. Why the hell did they make pistons so bad. No reason for it to stick out on not be flush with the floor.
@b151proof2 жыл бұрын
you should just be able to stack 2 pistons and offset them to be flush with the floor. SMH
@demize74982 жыл бұрын
@@b151proof I've been requesting additional blocks, like a longer piston and longer slopes to the devs directly with no avail. Ironically they use a longer slope mod for their Keen logo intro of the game haha. But this is the closest you'll get to a vanilla elevator, unless you use a rotor climbing lift like what BlackArmor showcased awhile back.
@b151proof2 жыл бұрын
@@demize7498 Thx for the reply. Yes, although the strat is complicated thank you for helping! I ended up using a mod but only downside is that the bottom part of the piston turns invisible after a certain length. I just use a sensor to automatically close elevator door so I can see it lol.

Nice rover man. I tested it and it seems it doesn't have enough lift thrust, therefore it falls faster than it should. Though I tested with vanilla 5x5 wheels, not DLC, yet I don't think there is much difference in mass.
@demize74983 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I don't think there is a difference between the vanilla and DLC wheels besides cosmetics. As stated though, this test was preformed with a speed mod activated, the thrusters aren't there's to make it airborne, just there to help cushion the landing. Though I could easily update the BP with a couple additional thursters underneath.
@wanderer33233 жыл бұрын
@@demize7498 If there is not enough thrust to lift it, then the fall speed would still rise. And with speed mod, it could rise to bizarre values, effectively limiting possible drop altitude. And in the opposite, if it's enough thrust, then it doesn't matter if there is a speed mod or not, and you can drop it from the orbit.

I’m thinking ‘yes’ but can the pistons be adjusted for different height floors?
@williamhall23863 жыл бұрын
I’m thinking it would need fine tuning of the piston extents for each piston and it would be limiting the number of floors. Unless you maybe using a programming block?

This was one of the more informative videos I've seen. You explained thoroughly how things work together. I do have one question, why use the blaster door parts connecting the pistons? Is it so they don't cause friction or something else?
@demize74983 жыл бұрын
The first block is attached to the piston head, then goes down the side of the piston it is attached to, then the final blast door block is attached to the next piston body. As for friction, no problem since the blast door block has a minimum collision box.

Unfortunately I don't not play or own a console, only PC. So I wouldn't know where to even begin to try to make this BP available for Xbox.
