I have a 2021 a4 sline and got the on filter in and locked at the bottom but can’t get it to line up properly with the hook on the top of the filter. It actually goes past to hook in if I lock in the bottom of the filter. And tips?

If anyone is curious they make a tool to help remove the coil packs..one version is super over priced around $200+ and the ECS tuning knock off is like $60ish. Not critical since we all just saw you can do it without the tool but it does help sometimes.

I’d recommended having a thin 10mm wrench, when I tried to take off the nut the whole bolt started spinning and broke the connector off the wire, so a thin wrench to hold the lower bolt as you take off the top nut

Dealer wanted to charge me $246. Thanks to your video I only paid about $60 for the plugs and another $30 for tools. My only note is that I had to return the 6” extension for a 10” as the handle of the 6” wouldn’t clear.

You may want to redo the wires on your drivers side a polar you have run the wires across the airbag and it will not deploy properly if needed

Absolutely love your videos. Great explanation and great tips. Definitely better than going to the Audi Stealership. Even here in the UK you go there wait around have a coffee and then they come back to you and say “that will be £500 minimum madam/sir” for a basic oil and filter change and diagnostic just to read fault codes take a video and they charge you £100. Definitely better to go to a specialist and do regular maintenance yourself. Take care and hope you are doing well! Thank you.

I do all my own servicing on my Audi A4 2ltr TFSi . Never go to stealerships for that basic work. Independant Audi/VW mechanics are for jobs I can't do.

30 minutes is a stretch. Takes me no more than 15 minutes. For my 2020 A5 sport back, I do my own oil every 5k, and it takes much less time and less cost than going to the dealer. I also got a snap-in funnel that mounts to the oil cap threads. It's secure, doesn't leak and makes it a one-handed operation.

Do you suggest disconnecting the battery before doing all this or it don't matter? Looking to replace spark plugs myself and avoid the service cost at the dealership

There is a mistake in the video regarding top nut torque. Official ELSA AUDI guide torques: Table of tightening torques for installation: Component/fastener [Nm] Spark plugs 30 Bolt for ignition coil 10 Nut for earth wire 9

Hi , I have the same car Just wondering, do you ever experienced an parking brake fault on your screen system ? This happens to me sometimes when I’m of the clutch waiting on traffic! Any help ?

Yikes, i think the mechanic put mine in with the air flow arrow pointing the other direction. I turn on the AC and it seems muffled and the air pressure lessens. When i turn off the AC, the air pressure returns and blows hard. Yikes, I'm going to have to call him back to check

Finally got around to hiding the wires after hardwiring (used your video in conjunction with Google to do that - super helpful). Something I found very helpful is that when you take off the cap over the lights/mirror towards the back side there is an opening where you can easily shove any extra wiring. Mine was too long by a lot and that was a perfect place to “store” the excess. Helpful video as always - glad you’re around so I have videos for all the stuff I’m doing with my A4!

2017 A4 - Just saved me $132 for a mechanic to do this - wish I had known about this earlier. Thanks! And thanks for the warning about my back - :- ) Very awkward position. Why do they engineer stuff like this? - oh - so they can get $132 from me.

This was great, except it took me 10-15 minutes of fighting with the trim to get it off, and then another 10 minutes and an emergency call to my dad the mechanical engineer to get the screw moving. After that … easy as pie!!

I don't think that is carbon fiber, it looks more like it's carbon fiber print on it. You can also see inside the mirror cover, it's plastic

Thank you so much for this, steps were great, worked perfectly after this. Only one thing though: for me, the 10mm bolt and nut would rotate with one another, putting risk of ripping the grounding wire. To fix this, I had to get a very thin 10mm wrench to hold the bolt, while a ratchet on the nut to break it loose. After that, it was normal.

Running into this same exact issue atm except I don’t have a thin enough wrench 🥲
