If you don't mind me asking what's your recipe for the black oil wash? The effect to tie everything together is perfect for Mordheim.
@questsquills13 күн бұрын
It's an unscientific mix of black oil paint (cheap stuff from a hobby shop) and white spirits. I add enough white spirits until it feels thin enough. However, over time it thins out more so I add more oil paint, and then I need more wash etc. I've no idea of the ratio now, I've added to it for about 18 months!

Great board and game, witchunters put up a good fight in the end! Zombies rolled hot on the injury rolls. Spotted a few mistakes in the rules, which is easily done in the heat of battle! Handsome shouldn't have died in first blood, the zombie only gets 1 attack. It can choose who to try and hit. In this case it tried to hit the priest and failed. Models within 6 of your leader can use the leaders leadership for tests (e.g. fear for Hank), it didn't make a difference here but worth noting. For the exploding zombie, its d3 # of attacks, each attack is strength 4, in game you played it as d3 strength. The range is 1D6 inches not 6, so might have affceted much fewer models. The priest wilh double handed weapon always strikes last, not just on the charge. After recovering from being knocked down shadwell has to strike last against the zombies. Flail is +2 strength not +1 ( bonus only in first round of combat). Fear (on hank) lasts 1 round only, so was played correctly. You should roll Ned's sword and dagger separetly, as the dagger will give opponent a 6+ armour save, whereas the sword wont. Flagellants are T4 not T3, s3 would need a 5, which the zombie at 42:40 still got so worked out! Also the 2 zombies later also got wound rolls of 5/6. very unlucky!

Each person has his or her own method, according to his or her affinities. Personally, I stopped using egg cartons, I turned to the unusable part of toilet paper: the cardboard "round". Easier to tear and shreds better dry in a blender (be sure to wear a mask, wood particles are bad for the lungs). It must also be said that by having my own chickens, egg cartons are a rare commodity at home, on the other hand, cardboard rounds, with a large family, are not what is missing as long as they are placed in a box provided for this purpose (and even the children who avoided putting them in the trash are the first to put them in the "special dad" box). For my part, large surfaces are 2 wood for 1 plaster but finishes or surfaces that are necessarily smooth (roads, tire or track tracks), it's 1 to 1.

@@questsquills Some of the mistakes were pretty harsh against you. The zombies only has one attack, meaning they can't attack multiple models. The Corpsebomb is Strength 4 aganist Toughness 3, meaning it was a 3+ to wound - which would have taken out a lot of those zombies. You don't roll on injury table against knocked down opponents. Double-hand weapons always strike last, no matter initiative. The warrior priest can cast magic in close combat, so you should have tried to cast Soulfire for a lot of those turns in the shooting phase. You can only attack with the pistol the first round of combat, after that it is sword and dagger. Remember you can use the leader's leadership within 6'''. The 6 to hit from fear is only first round of combat, normal to hit after. Remember your flagellants are Toughness 4 and the flail gives +2 Strength in first round. You don't receive a critical hit from falling. Advice then: Get the flagellants in front and have them be the first wave. Armour is expensive, wait with buying in until later. Pleeeeaaase show us the postgame phase, that's the real big story. Hope that helps! :D

@@mathiagerner1002 great feedback and thanks for the tips - I noticed the corpsebomb error whilst watching the vid also and messaged Matt 😂 I think he would of cleared a few of the zombies away for sure - I wouldn’t of been able to reanimate them either I think. Post game would definitely be fun. With this, I just wanted to run a quick scenario to show the terrain and minis and get a feel for filming a battle report. I'd got a few of the dogs from the kickstarter but just couldn't get them painted in time. It would have done the models a disservice to run them like that, so added armour to take it to 500ish with the models I'd managed to finish! I've got a load of old metal skaven and some cool proxies to paint up for a skaven band that I'd like to do a campaign for. Just need to really nail the rule book! I textured them myself. I can't remember which of my other videos I covered it in, but basically I cut the blocks out of XPS foam to the correct size. Chuck them in an old coffee tin with a handful of rough pebbles and shake them hard! The stones smooth off the edges and add realistic texture. I saw the idea either on Black Magic Craft or Erics Hobby Workshop, but I think it's an old technique.
@dartmart92632 ай бұрын
