This is such a GREAT movie!! It really gives me highschool nostalgia... Paul Rudd and Alicia Silverstone were AMAZING!!! They had great chemistry, and Paul Rudd... LITERALLY LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HE DOES TODAY!!! THE GUY DOESN'T FUCKING AGE AND IT BLOWS MY MIND!!!

I have NEVER watched someone react to this classic movie and get NONE of the reactions that people of the 1930s would have had.

I always start bawling at that "Mommy?" when they're reunited. Every damn time. But on the subject of what happened to Annie (not saying the word so I don't get flagged), I also believe that we chose our afterlife. If we feel like we did something in life that deserves punishment, then that's what we create. However, I also believe that our souls are more than what we are when we're alive, and when we die, we see the truth of what happened. If we didn't do something like hurt another (death or other terrible things) in a malicious way, then our soul....our true self....knows that there isn't any reason for punishment. So in the example of Annie, in life she was completely overcome with grief and truly believed that it was her fault they all died. But in death, she would have realized that it wasn't true and wouldn't have wanted to punish herself.

This movie is SJSU's volleyball team in a nutshell, because their 'coach' doesn't realize it's literally a joke, not an actual career path to consider. Tell me I'm wrong, and I'll gladly apologize and delete this comment.

Not really a true story although it pulls some details from a couple of them. The Coen brothers have a knack for writing ordinary people in odd situations. They're also very good at using landscape to add to the atmosphere of the film; Raining Arizona is a good example (and a pretty funny film too).

So far you are the only one that realized that Jenny did not tell Forrest sooner she was pregnant because he was running for three years. After all, there were no cellphones in the eighties and he had to wait until he got her letter that was mailed to his house.
