Do not bother training archaeology passed 60 without honed 4 on the mattock tbh. It's the biggest and most important grind in the game and it is a plague for newer players. And you can't really lamp this skill, every thing is somewhat important to do.

Lets say you are a new player and actually want to pvm. It's simple to do you have to first understand its a mid to late game activity so first do all the quests in the game this leads you to have 80+ combat in all but necro. Necro isn't even a grind between slayer tasks and combat lamps from quests you will cross 50 necro so you will be able to do communions or just afk a bit to level it doing slayer i returned to rs3 on a fresh character 2 months ago and my necro is 93 im not even playing more than 8 hrs a week so it's really doable. After, you get the quest cape there are two choices to make first is your money making method the 2nd is the combat style of choice you need 2 combat styles because some bosses are weak to something and it's rock paper scissors melee beats range, range beats magic and magic beats melee while necro is either resisted, neutral or does extra damage but if necro is resisted the rest do extra dmg and vice versa. Dungeering will help you up your combat levels while slayer tasks give slayer points that you spend on useful things to add to your toolbelt. Now it's time to join a pvm clan there is a bunch i recommend echoes of tomorrow they help new players pvm giving them free stuff the only catch is help new players when you can once you are able to. Some boss drops are multi-hundred mil drops for people redoing the boss to complete the collection they will have copies of things to sell or give away so joining a clan is handy because you just trade in clan for example in echoes charges for invention are half price of ge between clan members stuff like this adds up overtime.

Why not use the same tier prayer then? If you don’t have the T99 for necro just do the T95 one or whatever you have else to make it fair?

Ranged is way better than necro in terms of straight dps if you look at the top kill times for other bosses (Zammy/Telos) they are mostly done with range(some including melee too). Yes necro is more accessible and easier but range with its switches outclasses every single style hands down. I don't really think it was a fair comparison because you weren't even using BIS range as opposed to near BIS necro, like you said you didn't have dracolitch, ECB or SGB in an eof, I also seen you were using wen book instead of ful which is BIS for range so there are definitely a lot more sacrifices you made on the range side as opposed to the necro side. Either way good video and thanks for the content!

i was around 20 years back - this game cycles which combat stat does the most damage - it used to be ranged then magic then melee and it repeats usually - just because the top gear is best with necro (incentive to do the skill) doesnt mean it will be in 2 years.

Your abssyal beasts guide at 6:16 doesn't even work... I barely get 400k xp/h WITH a zuk cape and tier 95 necro gear! The death skulls ability never even goes off ONCE with the revoloution bar you show, so i have no idea why you even included it on the bar at all, the scythe gets spammed too much for it to save up enough adrenaline for it to work. I ended up trying my own method and i was able to get around 800-900k xp/h. And have the death skulls ability go off pretty much every single time its off cooldown. What i changed... ! - Gear - ! Armor / Weapons: Tier 95 Neckslot: Amulet of souls (for higher souls split healing) Ring: Ring of Death (important: for the 50% chance for 5% adrenaline on kill) (im not sure if this will work with tier 90 or lower at all, i havent tried) Depending on how hard you are being hit, you should change what you are praying, i was able to stay alive without needing to eat food at all with this setup and praying souls split instead of deflect/protect melee. ! - Revoloution bar - ! Summon skeleton !(Slot 1)! Summon ghost Death skulls Soul srike (for aoe damage) Soul sap Scythe (tier 3) Touch of death (only for adrenaline gain really) !(Last, slot 7)! ! - Needs - ! You still need the penance aura for this to be fully afk, with this setup i was able to afk with no issues at all and was able to actually reach the 800k+ xp/h mark. Im sure if some things are changed it would be even better xp/h, since i read people were able to reach 1m, not sure if those comments are true or not though. Also, make sure to high alc the onyx bolts, very worth putting them into MK:2 high alc machine at the invention guild. ! - Very Important - ! I also recently did the "daughter of chaos questline for the wilderness damage and damage reduction bonuses. Very worth doing since its not hard at all to finish the tier 6 infernal box. Coming from someone who hates quests with a passion too. I measured this xp/h after i did the succesion quest so i would have had 14% dmg reduction and 9% dmg amp to reach the 880k xp/h i did. ALSO, make sure you travel to the glacor cave before doing fighting the abyssal beasts because you will be able to also have another 3% dmg buff from the stone of jas residual energy!!! My changes are not 100% optimal at all, i dont know too much about the specifics or the most optimal pvm stuff, but the changes i made easily reached 800k xp/h where this guide barely made me 400k xp/h. I noticed a lot of other people in the comments struggling to reach the xp/h this guide states. So i hope this comment can help others like myself who were struggling to actually get the best xp/h they can.
