Fun fact for players that use either Mac and Linux (me) this will not be possible for to you use considering alt1 is only for windows users. Instead you can easily use Opera GX and they have an overlay feature which is exactly like this helper does however you can adjust the size to fit your needs and the info/steps for example using wiki's quick-guides it will actually enlarge the font's size as you shrink the screen.

When I went to OSRS and used their quest helper plugin, I actually WANTED to do quests. Looking forward to trying this. That being said...WE NEED THE SAME PLUGIN THAT OSRS HAS. It's the biggest thing they have on us.

I really hope it gets improved for RS3. Right now it's a bit bare bones and still requires you to do a lot manually. I find in osrs quests can be chill and easy because I don't have to think with quest helper

If you've ever done endgame pvm you'll know osrs has a lot more than just quest helper. Honestly not trying to hate but some of the allowed plugins for pvm in osrs are borderline cheating.

I like the lore but my executive function is really fucked from brain damage so I quit after getting all 99s cause I couldn't progress much more without some of the higher tier quests lol, not having the higher tier prayers unlocked especially made it unplayable for me personally. Now thanks to this accessibility tool I can play again! Let's go, thank you so much Alt1 and Quest Helper Plugin devs

As someone who likes to speedrun quests, I can see the value in this plugin, but like your experience, it is miles off where I could be. Not sure if that comes down to lack of dev time or the overlay just doesn’t work with RS3. Hope we see some improvements soon for it.

Alt1 is limited to just reading the screen, unlike the plugins for OSRS which can actually read and affect in-game objects. It's a technical limitation not a dev shortcoming.

It can't do what OS Quest Helper can because it doesn't have access to the IDs on screen which is what OS Quest Helper uses. It also cant access the step you are on because it doesn't have access to your quest progress like OS Quest Helper does. It is just to limited because it doesn't have access to the same APIs and code that runelite does. A LOT of busy work went into creating the plugin! Shout out to the creator Techpure

The improvements you listed aren't possible with alt 1. Runelite is it's own client and allows for game data to be read and interacted with at the code level, whereas alt 1 reads your screen and projects info onto the screen. If rs3 ever allows a 3rd party client, this will be possible, but will also lead to a bigger bot problem, such as what OSRS Has.

Not really gameplay is it. Go here, do this, go there, do that, click here, click there. Sounds like they should just delete the quests. Questhelper sort of defeats the purpose of doing the quest solely because you have to to get something whats behind said quest. This sounds crooked. Weird.

In fairness, a fair few people enjoy quests and lore. It's annoying for people like us, but once you complete them all (a chore, I know), it's not too bad keeping up with any new ones that are released.

This feels so counterproductive, instead of looking for ways to skip as much content as possible and then complain that the game doesn't get new content, why not just actually engage with the content of the game? Like for what other games does its community try so hard to skip as much of the game as possible? And for what? To get to the endgame where you grind till you get bored cause everything has been completed without you actually experiencing it? Not knowing why everything around you is the way it is... This to me feels the same as Jagex shoving bonus and extra xp through TH down our throats to devalue xp and the journey of leveling, like how is it any different?
