1/2 inch socket !!!! Those take 13mm, vehicle is metric !!! You should drain any compressor oil into a container so you can measure it - like measure how much - if any - remained in the old compressor. Yes, you can add the oil to the compressor low side port, then when you get that mounted, manually rotate the compressor drive plate through like 10 revolutions using a socket and ratchet.

Hey now! Good stuff brother I was going to take it in and not deal with but after this, 18 pack of some ultra, time and Led Zeppelin and I’m going in… thanks man! Expansion is exactly like u said like a nozzle, helps drop the pressure for the low side as it goes into evaporator… Congratulations on new baby!!

I just replaced all my components on a 2015 with a locked up compressor. You need to flush your evaporater also I used 3 quarts until I got clean metal free fluid. Also condenser and the 2 hoses with mufflers. If you don't do all this the contamination will destroy your new compressor

Didn’t have to. When the compressor exploded it evacuated itself all over the engine

If ya don’t mind me asking I’m taking my spare k20z1 head to shop to have super tech valve job done . About a round about of how much they charged to do yours ??
@SnowDrift25 күн бұрын
If memory serves I think it was 700 for all the work. I had a 3 angle valve job done and it was resurfaced and all the parts I had purchased were installed along with new guides and whatnot.

@ngirardo86Ай бұрын
What you found on the magnet is completely NORMAL. As long as you don’t have chunks or like needle bearings then you’re completely fine.
@SnowDrift25 күн бұрын
Right, I didn’t know at the time but seeing it now doesn’t bother me, especially since the torque converter I put in has been going fine for 70,000 miles at this point

At 5:30 I used 3 pieces of 2x4 and made a H they ran the length of the pan on either side with the wider side along the trans pan then screw the 3rd board across the middle of the pan. The 3.5" is about perfect to keep anything from touching the pan. Then the jack goes on the 3rd 2x4.

This guy is an idiot! Sepreme suspensions as well as every other company out there that sells these kits, clearly show that the soacers go between the mounts and the frame. Do not do this the way he shows in the video. Doing this can cause catastrophic failure due to the spacers not having any cushion. Which would cause the spacers to either break or the bolts to break and your diff falling out. Dont be like this guy. Read your instructions thoroughly and watch the videos on the manufacturers website. Really hope theres not very many people doing this. If you did, fix it asap.

I tap it and hold it and nothing hapens. I tried turning on off doesnt work either. Shows me 5th gear then when riding shows me 8th when im at 5 or 6🤷♂️maybe can helo if i disconect the battery?

Easy trick I found about getting that pan off, one side is easier to come out on that shallow side, twist the pan out with the easy side out and slide the pan over a touch and it slides right out. I just did my truck this past weekend and it was extremely easy.

I didn’t notice any performance difference. They are mainly for ensuring that the subframe doesn’t move at all when driving hard. It makes sure your alignment stays perfect.
