piston life is alot longer with oil squirt. only reason not to have oil squirts is if the engine runs very higm rpm +10k. for any turbo engine oil squirt is almost a must to make the engine last long

I’ve recently bought the g2 gear indicator, and I’m having an issue, the unit seems to work fine and indicates gears when on rear stand, but when I put it on the ground and select first from neutral, I don’t get any sort of response/display, just blank “-“ that would normal be present when in neutral. Now is this because im not moving? I have yet to test ride it but it just seems like if I select first from a stop it’d shown first gear regardless of if I’m in motion or not but idk

You are not supposed to flush these transmissions just change and refill

You don't have to bugger up a socket to remove the compressor lines. Just take the bolt, stud, and nut off. Pull it forward and twist it clockwise with your right hand and loosen the nut with your left. Install in the reverse.

Maaaan I just got a bike from a guy saying he changed the clutch and all this stuff. So I took a look and no washers at all on that gear. I was trying to get the crank case cover back on and can't so I was checking videos and found this...getting those washers before I reassemble. This saved me!!

Keep the brake caliper the same because the stock caliper are already stonger than they need to be on our cars. Adding a bigger caliper from like a TL wouldn't do anything more and would actually mess up your brake bias.

Gonna try the relay first but if it comes to it, you made me feel more confident to spend 2-3 hundred and do it myself rather than $1000+ in labor. I've done brakes pads/rotors and starters and belts but never AC components, but as long as I'm just swapping one part for the same part, I'm good. If something has to open that requires machining or adjustments to millimeters, I unfortunately have to delegate to my wallet. Basically, if I can see the part in question just looking under the hood, I'll try it. If it's not visible (inside other metal), I won't. 👍👍 for making the socket fit.

Well actually the thermal expansion valve or TX valve works and operates via a capillary tube which leads to a bulb which is filled with the same gas that's in the system it is usually tucked into a thermocouple or taped to the ingoing piping of the condenser and being the to same gas in the bulb as the system gas it will expand at the same rate thus opening and closing...for an easy explanation that anyone can understand dig this, we all know every system must have a hi side and a lo side but where in the world do these numbers come from? Well we all know from a gauge but how is a lo side and hi side achieved? It's sorta like the 2 numbers we use when taking ones blood pressure but as far as how does occur in an ac system picture this in your mind and you'll understand...imagine you're in a small room with nothing in it but a big compressor but if you look around in the room you'll find that there is a pinhole in one of the walls and all of the sudden the compressor comes on and the pressure quickly pressurizes the room but a small percentage is leaking through the pinhole so a hi side is created when compressor kicks on as is a lo side on the other side of the pinhole.. .without lopsided pressures there would be no cold and the expansion valve makes sure they stay lopsided....but there are other forces involved that must be tweaked for optimum performance such as a "superheat" setting but that's another ballgame, later people I hope that clarified some things

I know this is three years old and on the whole it's a great video. I would like to offer some counter advice though from a trained mechanic. NEVER EVER EVER REUSE THE GASKET, THEY ARE ONE TIME USE. ALWAYS USE A NEW SUMP GASKET. SECONDLY, ALWAYS REPLACE THE SEALING RING ON THE TOP OF THE FILTER HOUSING WHERE THE FILTER MEETS THE GEARBOX. tHEY AGE AND BECOME HARD THROUGH HEAT AND OIL EXPOSURE, THAT'S WHY WHEN YOU CHANGE THE FILTER YOU MUST ALWAYS REPLACE THAT SEALING RING. THIRDLY, DON'T WASh YOUr CHIT IN THE SINK, STAND OVER YOUR OIL DRAIN PAN AND CLEAN IT WITH BRAKE CLEANER. THE OIL AND GREASE WILL COME RIGHT OFF, IT WILL TAKE MINUTES AND YOU WON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH DISH SOAP AND WATER AND ILLEGALLY FLUSHING CONTAMINANTS INTO OUR WATER SUPPLY. I like the idea with the ratchet strap, very cool. Other than that there is some pretty questionable advice going on here that could end up costing folks much time and money and second go round repairs NOT TO MENTION THE HIGHLY ILLEGAL DUMPING OF CONTAMINANTS INTO OUR WATER SUPPLY. WHY NOT JUST DRAIN YOUR OIL DIRECTLY INTO THE RIVER AND CUT OUT THE MIDDLE MAN?
@SnowDrift3 ай бұрын
Your water must work different where you’re from. We have septic tanks here, you know, where our shit goes? There are no sewer systems here. Anything that goes down our drains goes to the same place, we are not drinking recycled feces. Thanks for the useless comment. Trucks been great btw. Been doing this a long time and there has not been a single problem since I’ve done this repair. Hope you filter your water. 🤙

I'm confused about the total fluid used - you recommend at 20:18 to get 4 full jugs (16qts), and 5qts of that is the final fill-up. However, you go on to say that you will use the rest of the fluid for flushing it 3 separate times, using 1qt each time.... based on that you would only need 2 gallon jugs.
