Hi Jake, more great progress, well done. I gathered from Ryan's vid she's been broke etc, but not knowing how, were you happy to tie her with just the halter when her pen was first cleaned? Or did you tie to a breakaway or use a collar for the first time? Cheers Old Aussie

Hi Jake, great vid, good you tslked your audience through your session, but your steady calm voice is also reassuring to the horse, which a lot of people may have missed? Besides the good singin. Cheers, Old Aussie

I find it really disrespectful of you to be referring to a "lunge whip" as a stick with string. Lunge whips were in use for training horses long before America was discovered !!! I hear your mate rr using the same detrimental language I believe you can do better. I've never heard English or European riders rubbish western gear and don't like hearing it from you
@peartreeranch8 күн бұрын
@@judegalligan7985 I dont know what you are talking about. A lunge whip is a stick with a string. There are lots of different types of sticks with strings and I use all of them and teach people to use all of them and encourage them to use all of them when needed. So check yourself and the attitude.

Fantastic! I’m so impressed by you and Remy! (And Devon)! Great job!! After 60+ years of horses, riding, coaching, training, (gentle horsemanship) and many rescues… (none as rough as Remy though) breeding… I wish I knew then what I’m seeing here. I live in SE FL and would absolutely love to come meet you, watch you work… I’m too broken to ride these days but I’m so impressed! Congrats! Fabulous job!!

Just curious is there a reason Devon had to get on her using the fence?
@peartreeranch11 күн бұрын
That’s the pattern we’ve established for the horse. So everything stays the same just switch the rider. You’ll change or add little things at a time but the fence mount was a safe way to get the horse to choose to be mounted and easy on the rider. The fence is a bigger stronger taller mounting block.

Great. She’s been politely trotting to me and head right in the halter. I’d always stay guarded to not get in trouble with her especially cause it can happen so fast. But she has been perfect for it lately.

Interesting, Devon is sitting on the front of her pelvis, for safety, maybe she should bring her shoulders back, ride from the back seat so to speak... she looks like she could come off pretty easy. Amazing what you have done with this mare and that Devon is willing to invest in her.... nice

You have to remember sheet is a hunter jumper and she’s used to riding in a two point. So not being defensive just how she’s used to going.

Talk about being invested in a horse I don't own LOL! I see new post, see those markings and get excited - it is a Remy video. While there is still work to do the transformation is simply amazing. You wish they could tell you what happened to them, but they can't so you fill in the pieces and create a new master piece.

Out of a kill pen so we don’t know what caused her to be so bothered. She just didn’t have a foundation and didn’t trust humans. The why is a mystery.
