Thank you for this vid. I have had trouble against pressure fighters, specifically body punchers who are heavier. It's a subconscious fear of getting injured.

I used to always be up by 7-8 am and I’d do my calisthenics then something to exercise my mind. Over the past year I’ve been sleeping till 10-11 and have been so mentally burnt out. Trying to figure out work or school. I’m making myself get up early again and do my push-up routine. Sorry for all the comments. You inspire me a lot!

Mayweather and Tyson will never belong in the same category. 2 different people in different times and different cultures. Yes culture. Floyd grew up in a warm home filled with love. Only thing they have in common is they both were active in the same sport. That’s about it.

Two of my favorites! I’m trying to get back into calisthenics because I took a month off due to burnout. Just doing push-ups and some abs. Do you prefer a rep goal or EMOM target?

I like your focus on defense. Like the late Roger Mayweather said, “if you don’t got defense, you don’t got shi*t.”

Thank you so, so much for what you said about weights. You're one of the few on this platform who don't encourage weightlifting and reference the old school calisthenics. The old school legends stuck to calisthenics and other exercises like chopping trees. In Frazier's book, he said that the only strength training he did was pushups and sit-ups...and he was a hard puncher with the most devastating left hook. If you do it right(he emphasizes the full range of motion, not the half-pushups that people usually do), that's all you need(basic calisthenics). The legends did endurance training that exercised their skills: heavy bag, speed bag, roadwork, jump rope, shadowboxing, sparring etc., no weights. Weights bunch up the muscle and they do not exercise the endurance that a boxer needs.

Man... I thought u were just gonna be another guy spitting their own personal way of boxing/training but you legit have great ways for training. I was doing 4, 3 min rounds just going ham but if I do, 1 punch for 3 seconds for the first 3 min round then build up & build up.

Very well said, and I might add, to be able hit with all you got efforlessly you need to build a trained foundation of hitting a heavy bag at least 1 hour a day 3 days a week, and more as you progress. I do 1 1/2 hrs. - 2hrs., with drinking water for my rest then right back on. Of course that means training all the punches individually and then in combinations.

I want to train boxing (or other martial arts) 6 days out of the week. How would you blend the roadwork and strength and conditioning exercises with 1 boxing class in the evening? I could probably do the roadwork and strength in the morning or midday, but jump rope and shadow boxing too? It’s so much, especially with work… 😭 but it’s all important. I tell myself to just worry about running and jump rope, but then I worry I’ll lose muscles and not be able to do pullups and stuff anymore. How do you blend everything in the video, also going to a boxing gym?

Do the cardio conditioning and strength work after class. Maybe 3 cardio and 2 strength sessions, don't do either on a sparring day

If there's an assult bike or treadmill, do 20-25 minutes of intervals. Add a 60-minute slow jog on Sunday

EMOM is good but avoid doing this with weights when you're cutting weight. Failure and Time under tension plus volume not to mention progressive overload are all recipe for hypertrophy
