As always knowledgeable insight is given on your part. Fighting is limb chess, whether a technical brawler or highly skilled it's all about tactical awareness and will and like Claressa says about the 5 P'S. Proper preparation prevents poor performance both from a physical and mental standpoint. Thanks again for sharing and GOD BLESS you and your team friends and family ✌ out and enjoy the weekend and coming weeks.

Hi Shawn. Actually... what many, many martial artists don't realize, or alternatively proceed with 'false confidence.' And of course the arm chair warriors who counter every piece of knowledge with a 'what if.' To those idiots, there is ALWAYS a, "...what if." All ties into the Fight IQ theme. 😁Cheers.

New subscriber here. Really enjoying the content, binge watching. Quick question that is more related to bag work and your Mayweather style vid: Do you think someone can get a better workout with 16oz gloves (like Mayweather uses for bag work) than a lot of other vids where I see boxers using 10oz on the bag? Are there pros and cons or is it really just personal preference?
@BrawlBrosBoxing3 жыл бұрын
Welcome man! Thanks for watching. Good question, here is my answer: The 16 Oz are better for conditioning your shoulders and improving speed (but you have to focus on speed while wearing them). This way when you wear lighter gloves it will be a cake walk for you keep your hands up, your shoulders won't get tired as fast and your speed will be better. However, sometimes wearing smaller gloves while training the heavy bag is good to build up some knuckle conditioning and get a real sense of where you're at with competitive glove weight. I personally used to train with 16-18 oz gloves and then the last round or so condition my knuckles by hitting the bag with just wraps on (not full force).

@@BrawlBrosBoxing Thanks for going into detail with your training routine and how to approach it with the glove weight and the method behind the madness, that's a great breakdown.
