Hello, I have inquiry if a dji mini 2 se battery works with dji mini 2 drone? Ive seen videos that mini 1 can work to mini 2. the mini 2 se has 2250mah and the mini 2 has 2400 mah capacity. Additionally the charging hub works for mini 1, mini 2, and mini 2 se. Please if anyone can answer I would gladly appreciate it. Thanks in Advance
@SteveCoutts36 минут бұрын
Yes, the Mini 2SE battery is 100% compatible with the Mini 2. Mini 1 batteries can be used in the Mini 2 and Mini 2SE. The Mini 1 batteries use a lithium-ion battery chemistry while the Mini 2 batteries use a lithium-ion polymer chemistry (LiPo). The Mini 2/2SE batteries provide higher energy density in a lighter package compared to the Mini 1 batteries. Mini 1 batteries work just fine in the Mini 2/2SE, however they are heavier and have less energy density so flight times will be shorter. Mini 2/2SE batteries will NOT work with the Mini 1 - they are physically incompatible. Mini 1 batteries can be charged in the Mini 2/2SE charging hub. Cheers!

STEVE great review, this is an amazing product it's hard to believe that some people would ban this technology especially from public safety... What's your view on that?
@SteveCouttsСағат бұрын
Thanks. Many times it seems there is an overreaction to new technology before people settle in to a more reasonable view. I suppose my one worry with the NEO is that if it becomes popular and pervasive you won't have any peace or privacy when visiting beautiful, scenic areas. You'll just have all these folks flying around annoying everyone. Time will tell I guess. Cheers!

Could i ask how many times did the drone have trouble passing the trees when you were driving with bike?
@SteveCoutts3 күн бұрын
I was actually surprised how well it did when passing trees on some very narrow trails. The footage where I am on the bike the drone only crashed to the ground once around a very tight, hairpin corner. The drone was too low to the ground, the corner was tight and I was also climbing at the time so I think the combination was very difficult for it to navigate successfully. A few other times it lost me behind trees but it stayed in place until I came back to get it to follow me again. At the end of the video it hits an overhead branch but stays in the air. You can see the drone look for me just as the video ends. I cut the video there but if I had let it play you would have seen me run back to the drone. When it saw me it started to follow me again. When you see me or my wife wearing green jackets, the trail was much wider and the drone stayed with us without issue. We found that ducking under overhead obstructions caused the drone to dip a little too. Overall I was quite pleased how well it navigated. It is also quite good at staying in the air even when it hits obstructions. The drone had no visible damage from hitting obstacles.

Hello Steve, great flights and Neo video 👊👍👏It’s a fun drone for making short flights and quick shots! I made my first real Flights last weekend myself and will post my Neo dronevideo (cinematic) next weekend. I enhanced the quality and are very satisfied with the result. In the video description I will explain how I did this. Stay tuned 😀 For the money it’s a great, maybe even the best and most versatile drone you can get. Greetings from 🇳🇱

Thanks! I am having so much fun with my NEO. I can't remember the last time I have had this much fun with the DJI drone. Price point is perfect, video quality is good enough and, like you say, it's the most versatile drone you can get. I picked up the Motion 3 controller and Googles 3 and just tried them with my NEO last night. Oh man was that fun!! What an experience! Can't wait to grab some cool shots with that combination. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. I will be sure to check out your drone video when it's up. Cheers!

Steve, I totally agree and it is so much fun. I fly it with my DJI RC2 screen controller. This controller I also use with the Mini 4 Pro and Air 3. I find the goggles 3 to expensive for my use and wait for the new and hopefully cheaper goggles N3 that are soon to be released based on rumours. Also thinking about buying the motion 3 controller with the cheaper goggles. Enjoy your Neo. This little drone really brings back the fun of drone flying👍🇳🇱

I have a mini 4k how can I transfer the videos from the same internal memory to a SD card I inserted in the drone?
@SteveCoutts4 күн бұрын
As far as I know there is no way to transfer files directly from internal storage to a micro SD card inserted in the drone. From internal storage you can only use Quick Transfer to move files to your mobile device or drag and drop to a computer by physically connecting the drone with a cable. Cheers!

This can't be accurate. All the other reviews said the video is awful. Some said it was like from an old flip phone! One guy seemed to complain it doesn't match the current Inspire. To me, it looks very good. Yes, it's not 8k. I'm supposed to have mine in October. I already got the controller from BHPhoto, since our combo over in the US doesn't get a controller. I got out of the drone hobby because of the regs, and now with the 135g weight, I can fly again!
@SteveCoutts4 күн бұрын
Oh, it's accurate alright. I did make some *minor* tweaks to about 36% of the clips though. I put details in the video description but also shared my Final Cut Pro timeline on my KZbin Community page so folks have a better idea of what I did. Mostly I just fixed white balance or exposure issues. Certainly nothing major. You're right, it does look good! Is it going to compare to a Mini 4 Pro or an Air 3? No, of course not. The Air 3 costs over $600 more and the Mini 4 Pro is over $500 more than the NEO. It's not apples to apples. Sure, the video quality could be better but if DJI did that then a $200 NEO becomes a $500 or $600 NEO. A $600 NEO no longer appeals to the folks who just want to grab some cool shots without breaking the bank. That being said, I feel quite confident there will be a "Pro" model sometime in the future because the larger drone community is going to want one. Mark my words. In my opinion the video quality is very good for its price point. In good light the video quality is quite good. In low light the quality starts to degrade and don't even think about shooting at night, it's terrible. For the price though you get a really fun, tough, portable, capable drone that gets the job done without being a hassle. I am very happy with my NEO and I think it's a very good version 1.0 from DJI.

I want your honest opinion should i buy it this late or do i buy something else
@SteveCoutts4 күн бұрын
The Mini 2 is a great drone and a solid choice however it is impossible for me to advise you on whether or not you should buy it. The typical advice I give to people is to buy the drone that best suits your needs and your budget. You need to ask yourself - what do I want this for? What features do I need? Flight time? Video quality? Range? Sub-250g? How much do I want spend? Deciding what features you need and how much you want to spend will certainly narrow your options. Honestly, if this will be your first drone buy a DJI NEO for $200 US. It's not a lot of money to spend for a fun, portable, capable and hassle free drone. If you end up not using it as much as you thought, sell it. If you find yourself loving it and eventually exceeding its capabilities move up to something better. Or, if you want something more capable right out of the gate, grab a DJI Mini 3 for $335 US. It's a couple of notches above the Mini 2 in every way. Of course, if you can grab a used Mini 2 with some batteries and a controller for around $150 US (or less), maybe that's a better deal. As I said though, it's all about your needs and your budget. Good luck!

Hi Paul. I try to be mindful of people's time and attention span so I make my videos as information dense as possible. Of course, that style may not work for everyone. You can try doing what I do when KZbin outpace my ability to absorb the information. You can adjust the playback speed. It can go all the way down to 1/4 speed but I usually find 3/4 speed to work in most cases. You can also try what I do most often - pause and rewind. It's not elegant I suppose but it gets the job done. Thanks for watching, cheers!

how to download the video where it says saved on iphone. Please help me, thank you.
@SteveCoutts4 күн бұрын
Hi. I really only know the process for transferring from an iOS device. I do not have any Android devices so I'm not too much help there although the process should be similar. With an iPhone or iPad, there are a few ways to do it. You can navigate to the videos by first clicking on the Photos app on the mobile device, then look for the DJI album. You may have more than one DJI album and the names will vary but it will start with "DJI". Once you find the appropriate album, you can just touch "select", choose the ones you want and then touch the share icon (box with up arrow) and you get options on where you can send them. If you have a Mac computer, you can just connect your iPad or iPhone to your Mac and it will automatically open the Photos app, ready to import your videos. Just select the videos you want and then hit import. You will see them in the "Imports" folder in Photos. If you have a Windows computers, you can physically connect your iPad or iPhone and it will either mount the device or open an app that can facilitate the transfer. I'm not sure of how it works because I run a Mac only. If you have an Android device, you should be able to physically connect it to a computer with the appropriate cable and it may just mount as a storage device that you can drag and drop the files from. Again, I don't run Android or Windows so I am just guessing a bit here. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Makes sense! I also read that they won’t allow manual exposure control in the intelligent shooting modes. Hopefully that’s coming in a firmware update. I keep checking KZbin hoping someone will try mounting a GoPro on the Neo for better image quality 😂. The mini 3 can hold the GoPro but I’m guessing this little guy is just too small!
@SteveCoutts4 күн бұрын
@@jordanrubinfilm Currently there is no manual exposure for the autonomous flight modes. I agree, I hope it's coming. LOL. I'm sure *someone* will try it at some point. I would be very surprised if NEO could get off the ground with one though. My DJI Action 4 outweighs my NEO by about 10 grams! And, if it is able to lift it, the battery life will be so short you'll have about a minute to grab your shot before you need to land - haha!

Fun Edit! You're tempting me to get the NEO. Steve, I seriously need a drone in my arsenal. I'd use for fun while mountain biking but also for work moments. What's your go to drone?
@SteveCoutts8 күн бұрын
Thanks! Haha! For paid work the DJI Mini 4 Pro is my go to. It has great image and video quality and pretty much all the features you would want in a drone. I haven't finished fully evaluating the NEO yet but plan to have a full review in early October. It's definitely fun to fly, portable and comes in at a great price point. The follow tech is decent (corners can be tricky) and it mostly stays in the air after hitting obstacles. The camera system is decent but not great. It does very well in good light but the quality falls apart quickly in low-light. My favourite thing about it is it's so easy to take with you, get it in the air, get the shot and get it back in your pack while barely interrupting your flow. As you saw the NEO can handle some of the challenges of mountain biking but I think it's limited to 20 km/h in follow mode, so not so great for high speed DH. Version 2 of this thing is probably going to be the one you want. Thanks for watching!
