How does tank width affect everything? and have to considered keeping the top row of magnets allways on for quicker fluid availability

can have a screen with a graphical like this. but not as cool.

Gosh, I think I'll make this. Wonder how things have developed in the last four years (this is the first video I've seen of it). How was NASA?

По идее требуется достичь наивысшего разрешения экрана..., а так же сперва весь дисплей следует заполнить чёрным ферромагнетиком, и лишь после этого возможно начинать изображать белое на чёрном. Словно старое доброе блинкерное табло.

Hi there!I am starting a campaign to develop Magnes Board, which combines computer games and micro robots for a realistic tabletop game experience. kzbin.info/www/bejne/op3En4SYiZZkeck and kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnOzhaCXga-JntE and kzbin.info/www/bejne/foizl32Hgr1kh8U What do you think about Magnes Board?

Know it's been a while, but for all these DIY ferrofluid displays, why doesn't anyone make the fluid channel very narrow in the 'y' direction, 'thin', glass very close together, so the amount of fluid that needs to be lifted against gravity is minimized. The weight of the fluid is going to grow with area, why make things so hard on yourself with these sloppy fat bottles, since magnetic force is the issue, why not let surface tension and small amounts of fluid be your friend, just like every other 'neato' display from the 80s does, sand suspension, bubbles etc.

That looks messy. Can you Hook up a synthezizer or keyboard? Maybe an oscillator as well... Get comfortable with some sound engineering software if you have time, maybe incorporate a digital clock or time keeping app and some speakers, an amp, try one big setup or all in different locations and syncronize them or something. :-)

I'm attempting a prototype that uses 256 coreless electromagnets on a 1mm bit of acrylic, wireing them straight to an array of individually addressable RGB LEDs, the acrylic surface is charged with static electricity by a little black Chinese wonder and it's to be programmed to ripple the magnetic flux in a checkerboard pattern regarding the pole orientation, along the acrylic surface, to move the static charge with it's undulatuon.. a magnetically shielded wire from one end to the other re-cycles the charge.. should be a lot better than a silly ion thruster.. gona be testing different surfaces. Everyone is more than welcome to copy me, tho never at the cost of disenabling of another to also. X
