I got pieces of game engine I would probably sell if it felt right too you know? It could pick me up in a game so to speak. Would possibly let me build something or do or start something. If I could start something and give it to other people to keep running I could just do that a few times or hire someone to do that or so on. I just need a lot of money to be that dream. I think me saying it and dreaming it kind won't happen totally like it too but no kidding. I have charitable billionaire dreams.

You know one of what millennials problem is is we couldn't skip grades and do these tests and we didn't all get job and trade training and we need old school skills, people making clothes and furniture and we need to make more out of all that garbage

NBA Jam on the PS1 was a clear signal that home consoles would catch the arcade graphics.

I got my 64 almost by accident, they were very hard to find at launch.. At Toys R Us, you had to get a ticket for it from that aisle and take it to the cashier, but there were never any there... But I found one where it shouldn't have been and took one home that night... I loved that thing

Oh man, Armada is a great DC game that doesn't get enough attention. Scifi 4-player ship shooter with RPG elements. Give it a try. 4-player mode was where it was best

Nintendo Power gave us the heads up of what was coming with the future of the SNES which Japan was already experiencing. The screenshots of Super Mario World, especially the kupas on the other side of the fence caught my attention. My cousin had the Sega Genesis at the time. Saw plenty of displays of the Turbo Grafix 16. My cousin rented one as soon as Donkey Kong Country was released. Actually it was my first experience with the console. Just finishing high school and Doom made me forget about the 16-bit era as well as the golden age of PC gaming. Collected minis and collections of SNES, Genesis, and Turbo Grafix 16 in recent years only to go back and see the huge deal that I missed out on. Very strange I didn’t know very many people with a SNES so I kind of missed out on the opportunity to play it. But it definitely lived up to the hype at least on the most important games. Genesis had better games overall. But in the at least the top 25 SNES dominates. The games licensed by Nintendo and a few 3rd party games are the pinnacle of the 16-bit era.

It wasn't ready as a 6th gen console in my book. It's like an N64.7 and not the full 100% generational leap.

they should have released the sega neptune with a cd add-on instead of the 32x add-on; that would have been a better stop gap.

Sony's foray into the game biz was brazenly anti-competitive, imo. It destroyed a lot of healthy, creative spirit in the fledgling game industry. "established market player moves into video game industry, buys out console launch via bribes to retailers, publishers."

I will never understand the hate for Altered Beast, I really enjoyed it on my mega drive and I still play the arcade rom to this day. It's a shame they never added more content to it for the console release, a few extra levels if space permitted but I still did and do enjoy it for what it is. There are much, much worse games.

I have never heard anyone say they prefer the NHL 94 on the Super Nintendo. But it goes to shoe you that those early EA NHL games are pretty much the same. I thought 1995 was better.

Fantastic video, really takes me back to what I feel were the glory days of gaming and I’m sure many would echo that sentiment. I shed a tear at the end just knowing how everything turned out, and while Sega continued to make games for other consoles I think gaming lost some of its magic after the Dreamcast died. I love the PS and PS2, love the N64 as well, but man my favorite consoles would be the Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, and Gamecube with the Dreamcast being the top dog. I miss that old arcade vibe so many titles had. I can hardly even play modern games idk why, I buy them but I hardly ever make the time for them. There’s something missing. Currently replaying NFS Underground 1 on my PC lol this will be the tenth time I played through it, first 9 on Gamecube way back when. I was still having fun gaming into the 360/PS3 days🤷🏻‍♂️ Been craving SF Rush 2049 and Powerstone, as well as one of my favorite games of all time- Toy Commander! Lots to play! Again

shame you didn't play Sword of Vermillion its very good on the Megadrive, also appreciate the shoutout to Gain Ground, its a very good game and deserves more praise than it got. These magazine reviews were always sketchy, makes me laugh that Madden gets 9s :D and questions the motivations.

Actually, Power Serve 3D Tennis wasn't the only SPS-developed PlayStation game to be released outside of Japan. There was XS Junior League Dodgeball, which was initially released in Japan in 1998 as Dodge de Ball! That game was developed by SPS and saw an American release in 2003, obviously a budget title. They were also responsible for porting DonPachi and DoDonPachi, which are fairly well-done ports from what I can tell. Why can't they just bring those games to the west instead? Ocean published two more games on the PlayStation in North America, Break Point and True Pinball.

I am 37 years old. I was born in 1987. As a very young child 3, 4 years I first got into gaming. However my first experience with gaming was my mother's Atari 2600. My first couple of years gaming was strictly with my mother's Atari 2600, other than a weekend at my cousin's house my experience with the original NES was very limited. Then on my 5th birthday in 1992. My father bought me a Super Nintendo. My original 3 games were Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, and Super Castlevania. So I went from playing Berzerk on my mother's Atari 2600 to playing Super Castlevania on my brand new Super Nintendo skipping the original NES entirely.

I inherited a dreamcast from my cousin, who bought a ps2 I think, I had a demo disk with 2 games, I don't remember one but the other was a clown flying around. It was hard and short. The only full game I got was crazy tazi but It gave me a headache. I couldn't play too long because of the camera rapid movements, which for some reason alot of older platformers gave me headaches, foe example spyro the dragon. This doesn't happen with modern games. Anyways, my cousin also had ready to rumble and I remember having fun with that game but I didn't get for some reason. So I never really got to play much of the dream cast. Didn't have a memory card or rumble pack either.
