Hi. I appreciate your honesty in your review of Chronicles, even though The Chronicles of Amber is my favorite Fantasy Book Series. You said something in a reply in the comments though that I want to comment on: "I guess my issue is that with a little imagination there is very little at stake. The characters have almost infinite resources and cannot be maimed." I assure you they can be maimed. If I was able to run a sword through Corwin, he would die. Outside of being killed though, yes, he's immortal. Also, there is a LOT at stake. Maybe that will become clear with books 2-5. Books 6-10 is an entirely different series though, and has nothing to do with this series, just so you know. Last time I read this series was over 30 years ago, and it fascinated my young mind to no end, but I'm a big fan of D&D, so that might've had something to do with it 🙂 I'm now listening to Roger narrate it here on yt, while I read my big Amber book, and I have to say, reading while listening to him at the same time is most enjoyable. Since your channel is about reading books, any chance I could get you to read mine, and let me know what you think? Mine is also a series, and I've currently written Books One and Two, and have also narrated them on my channel, so if you'd like to listen a little, feel free. Both books are in a Playlist, and the title is 'Forestera's Fate'. It's basically D&D in story-form. Lastly, and this is the other reason I'm commenting; in my second book, I bring Corwin and Amber into my story. At first I just did it for fun, and wasn't sure if I was going to leave it in, but it got so involved that I didn't really have a choice anymore. Hope you check it out.

Great wrap up! I just watched the 1933 movie today and had to also laugh at the "blood-thirsty" herbivore dinosaurs destroying those guys. It was great, especially the close-ups of the giant Kong smiling face :D. The movie was really amazing for it's time, I felt. That's so nice you could enjoy this with your son! I think my Kong movie watching is going to continue into May as well. Also, I loved the King of Kong documentary! I think my brother met a bunch of them (Walter, Steve and Billy) at either Funspot one year or Kong Off. So funny. How it happened to be a best seller in its own day is something that continues to make me question the taste of the reading public. But if you do read it, I'd still be fascinated to know what you think. (But seriously, it's horrible.)

I really liked the first Flowers book, but it wasn't shocking to me at this age. My wife was watching this with me and she was all like "ahh no he ain't gonna say The Stand is his least..." It's one of her favorite books and T.V. series.
