I've been my own boss since 2014 and it sucks when a client doesn't pay, or when you have to ask multiple times before a client pays. At one point in 2019, I had a client who was giving me work all the time, as well as making me buy expensive parts. For a while, he was asking me if I wanted to come work for him as an employee and I said no, because I wanted to stay my own boss. Then he started not paying invoices here and there. Then no payment at all for months, until I said that I won't come back until all the invoices are paid. It got far, he wanted me to loose everything, then come to me as someone who was gonna save me, by offering me a job. I almost lost everything, but I never went there again. It had a toll on me, on my finances and my health. It sucks and I still have nightmares about it from time to time. BTW, I'm in the business of repairing and modifying industrial automation equipment. Electronic, electricity, programming and troubleshooting is my stuff!

Oh hyaa Jesse ! This is why i stopped fixing peoples cars, i do mine, or some close friends, that's it... See you got hotweels to...addiction. For the job...man, dont do nothing weird, better to take a loss than a dive...is what i say. Get money up front next time, that way you know they are serious, not just wasting your time and effort. Glad he finally paid you but you did the right thing. You don’t need that type of customer, you need customers that appreciate you and not use you.
