Solar eclipse photographer Mr. Holga and solar eclipse observer Todd Puckett of Don's Used Photo Equipment in Dallas, Texas are discussing The Great Solar Eclipse 2024. The eclipse is coming Monday, April 8, 2024, and we want you to be ready. We're also talking about THE NEW STORE!!!, new film photography items (Ilford Photo HP5+ 24 exposure, Ilford Paterson kits, a Nikon FM2 with retro strap), Princess Catherine photo fakery, and viewer mail.
Holga and Puckett also talk about the NEW STORE!!! Yes, you read that right. Todd has inked a deal to move the store. Don't worry, it's not moving very far, but it will be a nicer place. Don's Used Photo is not going out of business, despite what some people are saying.

Adding to the filters, make sure you use ISO 12312-2 compliant filters, this means they are safe for direct visual use(not through an LCD display since we are talking film here). Plain ND filters are not guaranteed to block UV/IR radiation

I will NOT be photographing the eclipse. It's a once-in-a-lifetime event that I want to experience, but not through a viewfinder. I could make pictures, but they would be no different than the other millions of photographs that will be made. I do have the proper viewing glasses, left over from the partial eclipse only a short while back. Cheers!
