If it’s the same company, The Roers have a stake on land here in Moorhead Minnesota on the Minnesota/ND border. The apartments do indeed seem nice from a distance and in pictures. In person, at least here, the build quality is shotty at best. Plumbing has loose fitting contacts that leak water and the balcony ( at least my friends third floor balcony) is leaning at a precarious angle. We definitely stay off it. I’m sorry they are financing the bulldozing of that beautiful countryside.

Hey there Dr. Lee. It has been a while since I have come about and bothered ye. Man you are getting quite a bunch of "progress" around your property. That would drive me nuts. Going from country living to country living with lots of neighbors who think they'll be horse riding somewhere. Have they sent you any of those annoying flyers that asks if you want to sell your plot yet? What a killer to the countryside. My 2024 wasn't all that great and the start of 2025 ... well, a certain someone thinks they can run over land up here and subjugate it to his likes. It's just a tad more than 10 acres called Canada. Or at least use it to hide other stuff going on. I should stay out of that though. I wish I could stay away from the news but it is hard to lately. On the good side we have happy critters and we're doing pretty good. I've been off and on ill but for the most part it's been ok. Anyway, always love ya Dr. Lee, and the family. Hello Dr Lee . Good to see you . Sadly I've seen this happen in every Western state I moved to . As a kid I grew up in a new neighborhood surrounded by beautiful orchards .farms , ranches . By the time I graduated highschool .it was all gone . All houses , malls stripe malls . Then I moved to Colorado and the same thing . But these unites by you are ugly . And suffocating the land .so sorry .

I can understand people selling sadly, but the people moving in...what is the draw of in apartment in small town texas in little ole boerne? What are people living there even doing for work in a small town?

I'm sorry to hear that there taking away the nature. they are doing the same thing to my hometown now. a bunch of beautiful spaces have been turned into apartment buildings this past couple of years. including areas that were already promised to be single family homes. I just turned 30 and i feel like my 90 year old grandmother when she would tell me about how this was all farms or woods or there was nothing here.

This is infuriating . Have a feeler that affordable housing translates to government ( taxpayers ) assisted living for criminal immigrants . Sending huge prayers to you and your family !

I'm so sorry about the new development, but specifically the destruction of the live oaks. I live in Alabama, and you have to get special permission to even trim live oaks. Doesn't Texas have any protection put in place?

I hate to see all those lovely trees go, I hate to see the deer & other animals go, but what I hate the most is seeing all those people. Man is what is killing themselves. I'm so sorry, Dr. Lee. My 1st car was a 1974 Mustang II hatchback or 3 doors as they were called back in the 1970's. I hated that car. It was a great car for summer, but that car was not meant for cold weather because it had no traction for snow in Missouri. Back then, we got over 24" of snow in one winter storm. How we might get 5" a year. It would have been a great car for someone in a warmer climate. I didn't wear those mini skirts either. I hated dresses. I'm a cool Grandma, though. It has happened down the road from us and everyone around here hates it. We live in a little town in north Georgia that’s growing and we’re not happy about it.
