Im not a fan of Chevrolet (my first car, ordered from the factory, 1974 Malibu SUCKED. That car spent more time in the air on the tow truck than driving me around. Defective butterfly on the carb. If the temp dropped below 68 or so it wasnt starting. Even propping the choke open with a screwdriver didnt work. I got to where I could change the starter myself. I owned it 3 years. Had replaced the starter 12 times. Paid for atleast 10 tows at $60ish each time. 😳 I sold it for $1200. O by the way MY HUSBAND WAS A MECHANIC) Sorry Dr Lee I got distracted. Great car. I LOVE the name of that paint. Im thinking you were quite a handful growing up. I saw the way your eyes twinkled when you said ARREST ME RED. 😁

Dr.Lee, I wish I lived in Texas. I’m a corvette fanatic myself. I would definitely love to sit and talk. I have a 1978 Silver Anniversary. Wanted a C3 since 1986 and finally picked one up last year. Been following Matt for as long as he’s had the original Demo Ranch channel and love your videos. Haters will hate and they have bigger muscles behind a keyboard. God bless. Love the car. Matt made it *_CLEAR_* that we would be watching *WHAT HAD ALREADY HAPPENED* and that he knew that you watched his channel and we would be watching a "time-shifted" video series. [soapbox alert] Our schools and parents are not giving the basic skills to our youth. We are so busy, trying to keep our children entertained, that when I stop to buy a soda at the Quickie Mart, and I give the clerk $2.02 for a $1.27 purchase, it throws them for a loop. I remember a day back in 1954 when I couldn't go out to play until I could say my ABC's from memory. When I got too good at that, I had to count, every day, from 1 to 100. The next day it was 101 to 200 and so on. At 10,000 I was finally able to begin kindergarten with skills that would last me all of my life. [soapbox alert terminated]

It's really sad how people don't pay attention anymore. Matt made it all so clear in the videos. Plus we all knew that it was his high school car, (one of them at least). It was an awesome surprise mini-series. Muscle Rod did an amazing job on that thing too. You can see the care, quality, and love they put into their work. A rare thing to see in todays world. I'm sure you're glad to see it rolling around again. One thing I've learned in my 44 years, is that some people are just made to complain, and there's nothing that satisfies them. Oh well. Dr. Lee, thank you for your RANT! In 1976, my Dad bought for me, just before my 16th Birthday, the 68 Camaro 327 3 Speed, White, jacked up in the back, Wide tires on the back Craiger's all around with raised white letters on the tires that a friend of ours got from Vegas which was a race car. Dad took most of the hot stuff off because he knew I am a hot rod by nature. It was white with black pinstripe by Magoo and black fin on the back. Can I tell you that I was in love with that car to say the very least. It's been gone for a long time and how it left me was so sad and my heart is still broken after all of those years. I am so happy you & Matt have yours. Makes me smile. Hold tightly to that precious 68 Camaro for the gal over here in Utah who misses her 68 Camaro more than she can say. Hugs!

5 mos late to the party here, but I just came across & finished the 5 part series. Dr Lee, it hurts my heart to know that people could watch Matt’s video series on this Camaro & feel the need to leave negative comments. I felt like Matt was pretty clear on everything about the car. Especially about why he was doing this, and why this whole thing was important to him. Even still, people will be people I guess. Frankly, it leaves me shaking my head. When Matt drove this incredible Camaro out to your house, and told you the torque number… the expression on your face was priceless and spoke volumes. I think that was exactly what he was doing this for. In fact, there was a moment in the series when he was watching the dyno test of the engine, where he pretty much predicted exactly that expression. No one walking this Earth has been perfect in about 2,000 years or so. But that’s a heck of a son you’ve raised. A heck of a family altogether. Wishing y’all all the best, along with a healthy, happy, and blessed 2024. (Edit/Additional) Not for nuthin’… but the post it notes bleeding their color on that white Corvette. You’re an ‘award winning level’ tolerant dad. 🤣 Thankfully I had one of those as well. It’s WELL worth applauding of you.

The Camaro is definitely a work of art, Dr Lee. Of course, you share some of that credit by getting the dings and dents out and the other improvements you made. Matt simply went from Stage 3 to the Finish. 🤗 As you said, its sad to see so many that seem to find plain English hard to understand. I think much of it is the result of the instant responses from computers, people have lost the ability to concentrate more than 2 seconds, to listen or read clearly. Too short of an attention span. As Matt seems to be able to ignore them, these nimrods aren't worth even 2 seconds of consideration. They'd probably misunderstand any response anyway. As the saying goes, it's best to "keep on keeping on" and live life like God intended. I love your clarification and concern for Matt. As a Dad myself, there's nothing like a Father's love for a son. The important thing, Dr Lee, is you and the Mrs. did an outstanding job raising your boys. Matt getting the Camaro finished makes sense as he used it and had great memories too. Stay cool.

I’m a person who doesn’t place any sort of… blind adoration on anyone for the cool things they do that I can’t… but what I found with your son, Matt is far better than someone having cool things and showing it off on the internet… but the reasons behind it, the story of how he achieved all he has, the heart behind his ideas and the genuine nature of his actions… he inspires me to want to be better today than I was yesterday, like he always says. That’s why I’ve come to admire your son and I’m happy to show my support for his content however I can. From buying Merch to liking and commenting on his videos. Now, based on the man Matt is, I'm mostly interested in his OffTheRanch channel and him as a good man. Once I found your channel I was captivated by my interest in the man that rasied him. This whole car series made me grin from ear to ear, it was so fun to watch. And thanks for the video of Matt driving off in the car he drove off to school many a day...not very long ago. I watch my son or his two boys as long as I can see them when they drive off from my house. I'm always sad to see them go, and I need to watch them as long as I can see them. My first car was a 3 year old '66 Mustang Coupe that my folks helped me get back when I was in high school. Between classes at college I sat in the back seat, legs stretched out between the driver and passenger seats books and notebooks spread out around me. I studied while listening to the radio. I still remember that as clear as if it were yesterday. I loved that car and it saved my life when someone ran a red light as I was making a left turn onto a busy road. It was headed right at my drivers door. I hit the accelerator, the car jumped ahead as I turned the wheel hard left and the other car missed me by inches. I thought my time on Earth had come to an end.

Some people just don’t listen and are looking for a reason to complain. Also, how could anyone find fault in such a loving and sentimental video? Matt’s heart was in this build from the start, that was obvious. He did it all out of love and respect for a car, a father and the memories that meant so much to the both of you. I loved the videos. Brought me back to high school as well, had a long time boyfriend who had a 68’ Camaro…beautiful red too. Thanks for taking us down memory lane from your perspective and including pictures. So fun to see where things once were and how they have grown. So many of us have such a love for your family, I’d say don’t even worry about the 1% that need to try and ruin everyone else’s day. Watched the entire video, and you know what got me? You recording Matt all the way down the driveway until he was out of sight. Something about watching our adult kids leave the house after visiting just tugs at the ole heart strings.

Haters are going to hate Paps we love you and your boy, they are just mad and jealous that Matt is always a happy soul, doing well and going for his dreams. It was a lovely series that I looked forward to every day and seeing you see the car was just the best. Much love from Cape Town, South Africa.

Yes, a number of us must've missed that early statement by Matt, but I'm sure most of the misunderstood criticism was out of the love many of us apparently have for you Dr. Lee in wanting a give back to Dad moment for all you've done for Matt and your family over the years and the joy you bring us in your videos with you just being you; a very very kind humble man who shares his love for life with his viewers. I hope you understand that side of the comments. You are awesome! So stay cool Dr. Lee & God bless ya!!✌️

I am of the age that really grew up loving Chevrolet Muscle Cars, I would love either a 60's or early 70's corvette or the Camaro up until 1973, nothing newer though thank you very much! It's sad how people don't listen cuz I CLEARLY heard Matt say by the time you all see these videos my Pops has already seen the car! Always a pleasure visiting you on the ranch, love the scenery even though it's not what it once was. God bless, take care!

You are a good man Dr. Lee and a great Dad. I understand your frustration in the public. Matt has a huge following but he also has those that try to find any and everything to complain or criticize. I watched all of Matt's videos about the Camero and he stated everything perfectly. Some folks don't watch or listen to the whole video and make assumptions. You and all of your family are pretty amazing folks. Blessings to you all 🙏❤️

Matt's done enough youtube that comments are nothing. He did it to see your face, and to suprise you. But ya, he'll enjoy that car for years. Cool to see this channel. Thanks to the man that created the man who has given me years of entertainment.

Your an Awsome father and I'm glad to see this video. I wasn't aware of these comments. I been demolition ranch and offtheranch for years. It was how matt put himself and family out there, his personality and feeling of authenticy that made it to be my favourite channel. I'm glad to see where he got it from. Speaking your heart standing up for your children/family. Respect!

People are for the most part short attention spanned nowadays so they probably just watched the last one and having not seen the first one didn’t realize Matt had made the point. This of course does not excuse people’s behavior and the rude comments. To me those aren’t the true fans of either channel. Thanks for the ever so polite (as usual) “rant”. God Bless you Dr Lee.

Thank you for sharing that. Matt tough when it comes to bad comments, because he knows it dont matter , because he knows they just don't get it. Besides he has a really nice beautiful Camaro he can take his family to get ice cream. Or just enjoy. Seriously, that car is perfect, beautiful, fast, street friendly, and it has memories..... what else could ask for. I can't to see him enjoy it. And when the tire smoke clears. He can drive it to get ice cream. That is so cool.

Great Dad, always protecting your kids, no matter how old they are. I am an older lady, I did not understand the context, and I assumed I would see Matt give you the keys. It is likely due to all the yt videos titled "I surprised my dad with his favorite car!", that made us primed to assume what Matt was going to do next. I know you guy's & when I did not see Matt give you the keys I knew I missed something!!!!! It was good enough for me to see your smiles and joy as you both experienced 9together) driving it down the road. After that I knew everything was exactly as it was supposed to be!!!

People don't seem to understand how posting videos works. They don't seem to understand that you can do a video series and post it several weeks or even months later. I've got a few videos I have taken, but haven't taken the time to edit, so they haven't been posted. Hell, its possible my car may be running before I even post any of the videos. Dr. Lee I just have to say you are a wonderful human that has raised a wonderful family. Matt is an inspiration and he is raising his family to be the same way.
