Sean McDowell is an institutional man as in he fights for Biola as an institution. He accepts Preston Sprinkle’s premise that if it is genetic, it is ok. I have a lot of proclivities that I don’t act upon and actively fight. He censored a debate between Dr. Titus Kennedy and Dr. David Falk over the date of the Exodus because Falk made Kennedy look like an undergrad from how one sided the debate was.

I think the crux of the matter is whether human reason is autonomous or borrowed. I also think you can use both methods just to be clear. Aquinas seemed to followed Aristotle in making reason autonomous. Van Til is trying to prove God is a prerequisite for knowledge that exists in your thinking. Likewise nature does not have a total loss of order and so reflects the creator and his design. So both seem feasible to me. We do need to regain reason. I am curious as to whether this is why natural theology is making a comeback. Still watching but enjoying so far.

What is „mass democracy“ supposed to be? It’s either a democracy or it is the non democratic rule of a subset of society. Voting rights passed on property, income, tax or education standards is undemocratic - we also had that in Prussia for example until 1918. It’s really sad what happened after 1979 but the failure was set up by the rulers of the 1960s.

If Christian’s get to judge LGBT folks, that means that LGBT folks get to judge Christians. Who said… “Judge not, lest ye be judged?” Christian sexual repression leads to sexual abuse. According to the French government, the Roman Catholic Empire raped over 32O,OOO innocent French children. Just since 195O. If we extrapolate from this French datum for the at least 8 other Roman Catholic dominant countries, we end up with almost 2 million children raped by Roman Catholics just since 195O. The diocese of Los Angeles now has to pay almost 9OO million dollars due to all of the children which they have been raping for how many decades and centuries. The FBI is currently investigating the rampant level of sexual abuse of women and children in the Southern Baptist Convention. Which is the largest Christian denomination in America. Liberty University, the famous Evangelical University, recently was fined 14 million dollars for just ignoring the significant level of rape on their campus for many, many, many, decades. Christian sexual repression is not innocent, as it leads to an ugly level of sexual abuse. So take care whenever you are in the sexually toxic Christian community. Especially the child raping Roman Catholic Empire. Remember that idealism is always, always, always, based on denialism. This is why the Christian community is once again attacking the LGBT community as being sexually dangerous. Which is clearly a projection. And remember that the John Jay College Of Criminal Justice concluded after their multi-year in-depth study of the Roman Catholic child rape history. That Gay Priest’s are no more likely to sexually abuse children than Straight Priest’s. Which demonstrates that the problem has never been sexual orientation but rather Roman Catholic teaching. LGBT folks are not groomers. As the evidence demonstrates the actual groomers are largely sexually repressed Christian males. They are just engaging in ugly and hateful deflection to hide and conceal their own sexual toxicity. They are just scapegoating and distracting from their own sexually criminal behavior and history. "Look over there, not over here." So don't be fooled by all of their ugly and hateful lies. Because the current Christian teachings on Human Sexuality are just as wrong as their teachings on Human Slavery used to be until quite recently. Also remember that if Drag Queens are all about love, then it begs the question as to what Christianity is actually all about? So therefore perhaps Drag Queens can help Christians learn how to love better. As currently they all seem so love disabled. Even though Mother Nature has never been heterosexual, but has always been, and will always be, LGBT. Just like her natural world of which we are all a part. See the brilliant and amusing recent Peacock documentary titled: QUEER PLANET. Which explains everything you need to know about the true sexual reality of planet Earth.💙

When are Jews going to publicly apologize for their genocidal teachings in their book of Leviticus? Which is the source of all homophobia in Western civilization. Which is the only reason why the President of Uganda is sending all of his LGBT citizens to prison and now worse… execution. If Jews would only publicly apologize for Leviticus perhaps he would stop. Perhaps everyone would stop. Drug Dealer's and Corporation’s bear responsibility for the toxicity of their product. And when your genocidal teachings pollute the entire world. You should be moral enough to accept some personal responsibility for all of the human damage. Even Roman Catholic's attempt public apology for their genocidal teachings. Like their apology attempt for the Roman Catholic Teaching Of Jewish Deicide in the 195O’s. After the Holocaust which it produced. As well as Pope Francis' current attempts to apologize for the Roman Catholic Doctrine Of Discovery. The source of the genocide known as Colonialism. When will Jews practice some Tikun Olam and help put an end to all of the suffering they have caused the LGBT population of planet Earth? Please apologize and stop all of the pain. Obviously anti-semitism is not the oldest hatred in the world. The oldest hatred in the world is clearly Jewish genocidal homophobia. And if one is LGBT there simply is no real difference between the Jewish book titled Leviticus and the German book titled Mein Kampf. So please have a heart. The Jewish Tanakh is a genocidal text. I know because it calls for my genocide in Leviticus. A teaching so hate filled that it turned me into a carcinogenic alcoholic by the time I graduated from High School. A teaching so ugly it is an abomination against all of the Gods. And the story of Noah And The Flood is just about the single most sadistically genocidal narrative the human race has ever created. Obviously those who worship genocidal Gods become genocidal themselves. Genocidal teachings produce genocidal people. As the nation of Israel is currently demonstrating every single day. And as the entire world understands genocide is never ever self-defense. Nor is ethnic cleansing. And isn’t Idealism always, always, always, based on Denialism? Let’s all remember that criticism and bigotry or two totally different issues. And that absolutely nobody is above criticism. Certainly not the genocidal Jews.💙

No historical act made it more crystal clear to me that the US are every bit the "bad guys" in post-WWII history that the USSR were than what they did to Rhodesia. In so doing, the US lost every claim to moral high ground in world politics ever again. I laugh now when I hear American spokespeople talk about freedom, democracy, and the prosperity of capitalism and Western civilisation. The UK's reaction was somewhat more understandable simply because they were trying to keep a former colony from achieving independence, and thus while still reprehensible it's understandable from a position of national interest rather than what the US did.

Current Cru Staff right now, and I am planning on leaving. I have also felt extremely uncomfortable with the BIPOC racial divide, and even the inability to read the room. I tried to go back to Part-time last year and was told "that's impossible. The PT field staff position was created for those struggling financially, and for BIPOC inner-city pastors". I was then told "maybe Cru isn't for you" because I wanted to go PT EVEN THOUGH before going Full-time I was told I had a full 12 months to decide if I wanted to go back to PT". I was also completely ignored for raising concerns over their advertising the Enneagram for summer training courses. I sent a video into my LMD of the man who created the Enneagram stating he got the entire thing from going into a trance and letting an entity control his hand and wrote out the info. My LMD just told me it was "doubtful" because of the good it was used for. Two weeks ago we had David Platt speak at our Winter Conference, despite the fact he had a whole 2 part documentary released on his destruction of his church, and multiple ongoing lawsuits. What the heck is CRU doing?

Great interview. I really appreciate that you put this together. I am reading through Defending the West and it is very good. For those who enjoy this author and this topic I have a strong book recommendation for you: "The Great Siege, Malta 1565: Clash of Cultures: Christian Knights Defend Western Civilization Against the Moslem Tide" (I know. The editor of the subtitle wasn't very vigilant that day, lol.) by Ernle Bradford. It is a factual and harrowing account of that great conflict. It reads like fiction but draws upon the abundant source material from that time. It is, like Ibrahim's accounts, quite humbling to see the bravery and self-sacrifice on the part of those who defended our religion and our way of life in the West. We have many faceless and nameless men to thank for our freedom.

Natural Theology is clearly proven in Romans 1:21 where it says they “knew God”! Clearly they are unsaved so this is not salvific knowledge but a natural knowledge “clearly seen” (v20) of God. 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 is an important section against lordship salvationists who distinguish between a head/historic faith in the gospel versus a heart/true faith in it. There is only one type of saving faith!

"Things will also get more decadent, unless there's some kind of revival..." very much this, and I predict NCR will hold the line, and in time will win by default because there are other issues like weakness of leadership in the old churches resulting in serious dysfuction, lack of growth for the "layety" and etc. The healthiest churches actually maturing and educating their sheep within, and doing the most damage to the enemy strongholds without are NCR. I say this from years of experiences in midwestern churches that were complementarian and theo-solid on paper. Like you sort-of say, it's when they disagree that you realize they don't actually apply scripture to most of life, and so have not developed proper theology of things like governance, but stay in a safe vague zone of culturally-sensitive and neobiblical gestures and postures. Any of those topics at the end would be great.

By God's grace, all people have been gifted with enough rationality to see creation and recognize a Creator's existence, as well as having a basic moral sense. (Romans chapters one and two.) "For when Gentiles, who do not have the Torah, by nature do what the teaching requires, they are Torah to themselves, even though they do not have the teaching. They show that the work of the teaching is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus." The problem is that the deceitfulness of sin encourages a person to harden his/her heart against those godly voices.

Good interview, Jon. I think you shine brighter when you're not so emotionally invested- like say, the social justice issues you usually discuss...imo. Glad to see Christians diversifying their moral apologetics beyond "if objective moral values exists than God exists"... The most painful example I recall of one of these standoffs was William L Craig and Jordan Peterson. I'm banging my head against the wall listening, like, ok Craig, you've made the objective moral value argument well...now affirm what Peterson is saying, namely, he knows objective moral values exist- man is created in the image on God and has become like God- KNOWING GOOD AND EVIL. Peterson was getting vexed like a little kid jumping to grab and object just out of reach...Craig, holding the object, was unwilling to condescend to accommodate Peterson' reach... With this agreement in mind as a starting point, our "spiritual" presuppositions re the gospel of Jesus shines as a light in a very evidently dark and broken world.

Because people have traded the truth of God for a lie, as classical and presupp agree. The difference is whether I can demonstrate this to my neighbor from common ground, philosophy, sociology, evidence - like the suffering of people who have chopped off body parts denying the natural order - or if my only argument is to open up the Bible, which they don't accept. We shouldn't concede the entire realm of nature and creation to secularists, as if their arguments are correct on their own terms. The arguments for the biblical view from the natural world, creation, the evidence of life and experience.

No, to hold that nature and our natural human faculties are destroyed by the fall is to hold the Radical Reformation (Anabaptist) position. That’s not Calvinism. Calvinism is our moral inability to save ourselves and respond to the gospel call without the Holy Spirit’s regenerating work. It says nothing about our capacity to know God’s existence and his law as described in Romans 1. The noetic effects of sin do not obliterate this knowledge of God and his law, or we become less than human.

15:30 Unbelievers reject the Bible. So how, pray tell, would they agree with you on anything whatsoever? I'm not a fan of Van Til or Gaffin. Both supported the Shepherd controversy at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia. However, the whole natural law argument and co-belligerency plays right into the accommodation with culture of the liberals and the heresy of the so-called "reformed" doctrine of common grace. The Christian worldview is opposed to all of the secularism and man-centered theology of the Pelagians and the Arminians. A reformed and Christian worldview opposes all that opposes God and His Word. For the record, I'm a Clarkian presuppositionalist. Everyone has an unproven beginning point. Classical apologetics begins with Scripture but disavows that Scripture is the beginning point. Once you begin to concede to the enemy in order to have a common understanding, you have already lost the battle. The Clarkian approach is to go on the offense and to reduce the arguments of the other side to absurdity. Clark's approach is to begin with Scripture, not to begin with an undefined god who could be anything.

If they saw the evidence that child gender-transition was catastrophic for children's lives, was based on unproven ideology instead of medical research, and denies the basic natural fact of sexual dimorphism. See Alex Byrne, Abigail Shrier, Helen Joyce and the rest. Without the Bible, they have come to see the truth of this biblical statement: "God made them male and female." "How pray tell would they agree with you on anything?" It's happening all around us! Listen to Triggernometry or Modern Wisdom or Jordan Peterson. Unbelievers all around us are coming to agree with Christians on non-biblical grounds. Then, they become opened up to hearing the Bible.

13:38 The Bible is a propositional revelation. The propositions can be arranged into a system of propositional truth that is in complete harmony in the scope of the whole book. The Christian worldview is deduced from the Bible alone, not from natural law or natural revelation. On the other hand, man is God's image. John 1:9; Genesis 1:27. Mankind is the only rational creature. The only thing we have in common is rationality. But unregenerate reason is corrupted by the noetic effects of sin. You can't use science to say that abortion is wrong. Science cannot give morality or ethics. Thou shalt not murder is the standard, not rocks and trees.
