I discovered it seemed the ease up during colds is that the runny nose actually decongested the sinuses. I once tried cinnarizine (first gen antihistamine) for my nausea and dizziness, it worked but i was so drowsy and then after the med wore off the symptoms came back even worse.

So true. You have no idea communicating on line of what that person’s health history is. A lot of us have more than one chronic illness so you could do harm. Their doctor will look at the whole picture. A lot of meds and supplements people suggest to use I can’t but you must know if you want to try anything….run it by your doctor first.

In reference to my medical condition, I would like to bring to your attention that I was initially misdiagnosed by our company doctor, who is a ENT. Instead of recognizing Meniere's disease, I was simply diagnosed with dizziness, which unfortunately led to the loss of my job. Despite having three separate diagnoses from reputable ENT and neurology specialists confirming Meniere's disease, the company doctor's oversight has had significant consequences for my professional standing.

I had no idea they made hearing aids that double as earphones for things like digital media! Do you get any funny interferences with your tinnitus (if you're experiencing any)? And can you wear them at a concert, too? I remember how inconvenient the ones my grandma had were, and then I became really discouraged when I read that, allegedly, you were supposed to start training your brain to adjust to hearing aids when the hearing loss was still in its beginning stage. They basically said that you couldn't regain long lost frequencies. I guess those were either false news, or research and technology have improved a lot since! These are exciting news and I'm so happy for you; I'll look into it! One request I have for you would be to please put product names, as well as terminology like the name of the procedure you're going to get, into the info box? I couldn't catch some of them and it's important to get the spelling right if you want to look things up. :)

I can't believe this channel exists. I was diagnosed in the early 2000's as a rare (very young) case. There was nothing about it on the internet! And if there was, it was like a one-paragraph encyclopedia entry with no real information. No real people were talking about the experience. Menière's runs rampant on my maternal grandmother's side of the family tree; it stole a decade of my life by way of extreme vertigo attacks, and by being used as a guinea pig for all sorts of contemporary medication. The long-term effects continue to affect me. Sigh.

Just completed post-labyrinthectomy vestibular therapy. It was so very helpful to have heard your advice, and it helped me persevere. You have my heartfelt thanks. I am walking confidently indoors and out, and have resumed driving and daily fitness exercises and swimming. The therapist said I don't need to continue the exercises, but I am concerned I could lose my progress, so I still complete one full set of the exercises daily. It has been over 2 months since my surgery. May I ask, did you continue the exercises after completing vestibular therapy? If not, did you lose any of the progress? Many thanks!

Your story sounds similar to mine. (I recall the sweating episodes.) Except, I noticed something wrong several years before the massive attack occurred. I'd experienced many smaller duration attacks over the years, that seemed like food poisoning that included vomiting. I'd thought it was food poisoning from a restaurant, even though it dawned on me, that it would be hard to get food poisoning that often. So what else could be the problem? Most GPs don't know much about Meniere's Disease. And none diagnosed it until I had a major attack with massive vertigo and massive vomiting sessions. Still, it took an ENT to diagnose MD. Plus, there were many other signs, such as my balance and spatial orientation wasn't very good over those years and I couldn't understand why. Fatigue and brain fog was and still are major symptoms. I get the big four symptoms often (Tinnitus, Ear Fulness, Hearing Loss, Vertigo & Vomiting). Tinnitus all of the time, some level of ear fulness that ramps up when an attack is near, along with hearing loss. Usually there's a degree of vertigo that ranges in intensity when there's no attack, that hits mind-warping velocity during an attack. In addition to this, I have migraines with aura's, where I temporarily lose most of my eyesight. Some doctors say there's no connection to MD, some think there is a definite connection.
