My game of the year, definitely Black Myth Wukong - beautiful character, graphic, music, story telling, extremely fun combat! It is actually my game of decade!

I'll be sure to check out some of these playthroughs as I'm always missing your live streams on my current schedule. Seems you played a lot of games this year that I've never played! Cool to hear about them. Rant on a tangent: A Quiet Place is the most overrated movie I've ever watched. I'm pretty sure it's the only movie that I genuinely hate, of those I've watched. I'm not surprised that the gameplay loop for the video game adaptation is equally lame. Maybe some day I'll rewatch it and my ninth eye will open and I'll comprehend how it can be considered mediocre, let alone a "masterpiece" as some say, but I really doubt it.

My list would indeed look very different in many ways: Literally all horror games would end up in the C category - I just don't like them. Not because they're necessarily bad games or anything, I just don't enjoy the genre. Likewise, all console exclusives are an immediate no for me as a PC player - especially if it is a Sony game with their ridiculous PSN requirement even for Single player games on PC (for all who don't know what the problem with PSN is - read section 6.1. of the PSN Terms of Service. In that section people have to allow Sony to use all user information in any way Sony wants - including publishing and distributing aka selling the information. That's just unacceptable). Shadow of the Erdtree, Cyberpunk and Mass Effect would be my GOTY ranking. I can't say anything about Black Myth Wukong - I haven't played it yet. Unfortunately its release date was right around the release of The War Within (the newest World of Warcraft expansion) and as a big WoW player I obviously went for that.

I don;t know how or why this was recommended to me but was interesting to hear your thoughts on these games!

I think you could like Indika (2024) - a bit weird and interesting indie game. It has a lot in common with Hellblade conceptually except for the battles. The problem is it's not a kind of game that can bring many views, but it definitely worth playing for your own. As for your ranking list I wish I had enough time for gaming, but I played some of these games too and mostly liked them, not sure about the ranking though 😅

We definitely have an exact opposite opinions on Code Veronica haha I think it's very underrated and I put it in A tier having played it this year (6th best game I have played this year out of 19). My GOTY being Astro Bot Digital Deluxe Edition. With that being said, fun video to watch 😁

Where is Oldschool Runescape?

When I was a kid, in the year 2000. I remember buying Resident Evil Code: Veronica for my Sega Dreamcast, I remember exactly how the game case looks like, just thinking about it makes me feel emotional. Code Veronica was the first Residents Evil game to use realtime 3D environments and camera movement. Imagine playing that game at that time of year, how blown away you would be. It's unfair to compare Code Veronica to Black Myth, because the Unreal Engine 5 will enhance your experience. As for now, BG3 is my game of the year.
