The hospital in SH2 is my favorite level in the franchise. The story beats, the atmosphere, the iconic hair puzzle and the level design. Just left an lasting impact on me as a 14 year old.

It’s hard for me to pick but the hospital is definitely a highlight! This new trailer is so similar to the original one in 2001 which I actually remember (was 9-10 years old) so I actually got chills watching this!

Gameplay can take between 16 to 20 hours on first playthrough if you want to do everything 100% (lots of new areas, some backstory content like the Diner, etc). They have said that things like the red border can be turned off. The original endings are there but there will be additional new ones. Lots of new stuff in the game which I'm happy about. The PC version will look nice and smooth with full details if your PC is powerful enough. I was a bawlin' mess watching the new trailer and gameplay. I got the same feeling I had 22 years ago when I first played it. I simply cannot wait!

The original outfit of Maria isn't famous for its colours or style but it copies exactly Christina Aguilera's. So they either make Maria a whole new outfit or keep her old one. I don't see the point in small changes.

Brookhaven hospital is problem my favorite the musics one of the greatest parts of this game it all blends flawlessly in my opinion I also love the prison this is my all time favorite game always will be I think excited for the remake

First of best trailer which makes me wonder why did they release all those bad trailers before. Eddie looks aboslutely great they nailed his look and i think the toilet scene is gonna be even more disgusting cause will be able to see puke and vomit on his face hands down star of the trailer. gameplay looks improved but i dont know the boss fight with pyramid head looks easy like the crazy s u get on dodging his attacks. now comes the part where i think the community is still split and that is Maria. i like her character model but they should have kept her og attire as its so iconic and fits James fansatasy a bit more. Her performace so far is rough like the VA is trying but its such an iconic performace to match like u can remake the game and graphics but remaking that og performace is not gonna click. i hope the actress doesnt get the ada wong treatment from re4 cause she has alot scenes and lacks some of that maria mystique. Her interaction when she says MY NAME IS MARIA with the seductive tone is not gonna match with this version of Maria but lets hope that this works.

Yeah I thought the boss fight was meh too, nothing so special. About Maria, I thought she looked really creepy and dark (closer to the OG jail scene) I like all the voice acting tbh, and yeah considering how toxic this fandom can be, I really hope the same thing doesn't happen as it did with RE4R. Idk overall I'm really happy about it!

The backgrounds look great as so often in Bloober's games. Some of the characters, mostly Laura, seem to be fine to. Still, James looks like photoshopped into the scenery and there is always light on backside of his head. Animations could be better and combat looks as clunky as in the original. I think, it's gonna be a solid/good horror game but a medium (get it?) Silent Hill game/remake.

Oh Birdy, I know you wanna be optimistic, and I don't wanna be a killjoy, but this is an advertisement. The voice acting's a bit better, graphics look cool, but, it's not the game. The game is the game. Am I hoping they don't screw it up? Yes. Do I believe they'll screw it up? Yes. Konami has demonstrated they really don't give a damn about quality as long as they make a buck. So I'm expecting it to fail pretty spectacularly -- and I'll be pleasantly surprised if what comes over home plate is a good game. I just wouldn't bet the rent on it.
