I stayed 6 months in my London house as I live abroad. I duly paid for 6 months TV license, They did not like this. They hassled me for paying a full year. Then one day I got a cheque to re imburse me for the 6 months fee that I paid, demanding a cheque for the full year. I was leaving UK by then, so the idiots lost 6 months fees.

So if someone want to have foreign reciver and watch Spanish, Italian TV do still have to pay for UK TV licence as this girl mentioned about?

I cancelled years ago, got so many emails and calls from them afterwards, I told them over and over again, I don't watch terrestrial tv. It's garbage, and why on earth would I watch the BBC. In the end, I told the dude who knocked on to f*****f, don't come back. end of.

I had a letter like that few years ago and I thought I would stay in not a problem wasn't doing much as they were calling on a particular date; I believe it was round the 23rd of December and no one knocked on the door I would have invited them maybe not giving them see you in biscuits as I don't have a Telly I ve not had a TV For a few decades. Just tell them you only use for gaming, fire stick included. It's now marketed for gaming with the help of Xbox cloud. I don't watch anything live. I watch KZbin or I'm gaming. Period.

We had a red envelope last week and one with a second window so you could see 'Official notice: investigation opened' (in red) from the outside. The postman sees all of this and one was delivered to a neighbour by mistake! Isn't that technically slander as well as harassment??!!

Thanks Jon for a great set of videos. I am 86 and have not paid for compulsory licence since I was 70. I was sent a letter saying that as a pensioner I did not have to pay. This permission was retracted but I have never received any form of notification of the cancellation of the FREE licence. Would this stand up in court? I have written sixteen letters to the enforcement agency telling them that I charge £50 per hour for every hour I wait in for them to call --- so far the Licencing Authority owe me £6,7050 -- Not one letter has been answered. Been watching your videos for a long while now and find them quite amusing definitely better than what the BBC produces however we stopped watching live tv years ago and we tell them we don’t need a licence (which is true as we don’t watch anything broadcast live) and we receive only 1 letter every year which only asks if we still don’t need a license which we don’t 👍

BBC should set up conscription based funding, those who want to watch it can then pay fairly for BBC air time. Those of us who despise the BBC won't.

Anybody at all comes to our doors asking who we are without identifying themself get no answer on who we are until there identified. When told the BBC then its a clear no thank you and shut the door. Dont talk to them unless asking who they are. They will tell you unless your the owner or tenant they cant tell you who they are. In this case say ok bye and close the door. Never get into conversations with them just say no or bye and close your door saying anything else than this and it will be used against you.
