Every Day i learn new things. Im over 50 and a landlubber, but I have never seen a chain where I can split individual links. However, I have little to do with chains in my life, apart from bicycles and other things ;-)

That is absolutely beautiful scenery. I would love to be in the Norwegian Fjords. That is some amazingly hard work. I would absolutely love to do this kind of work.

This looks so sophisticated to me. I worked on the North Sea with Smit-lloyd back in the seventies, the crew consisted of captain, mate, two engineers two ab's and the cook. Still we managed to do the same job. Whilst anchor handling and rig moves it was literally all hands on deck for however long it took. Many times more than 40 hours in a row But th pay was good.

These are the coolest ships on the water. I doubt the union staffs anything like these; I assume it's all private. But I'd love to do a contract on one.

Quite the improvement from the old lead ball in a monkey fist? But a messenger that big and heavy will still clean your clock, just like a monkey's fist would. Use with caution!
