I saw the disrespectful comments on your initial vid. Nasty c...s out there. I just bought the same box and have the Kings 120A LiFePO4. Great battery and like many other brands they can easily pump double their capacity without the BMS shutting down. I personally appreciate this capability and fuse accordingly but agree for the average bod out there ignorant of Ohms Law it's a recipe for disaster. I will be modifying the box and adding some high capacity cable to feed corresponding additional direct outlet. All Kings need to do to foolproof it might increase the unit price by 10 or 15 dollars and it would still be good value for money. I couldnt be bothered sourcing the material to build it for $50.

Cheers mate. You get used to it making KZbin videos. Can't keep everyone happy. Thanks for the comment, that's all I was trying to share really. I've now got 3 kings batteries in service. So I'm not anti kings but when something isn't right, it's not right regardless of the name on the box.

Gr8 vid, 👍 same bought that same combo for the same reason, to run the fridge as a portable solution for beach and river days. Bought and will install the same shunt and will check all the connections in the box then. Use the professional install in the Troopy and 270Ah of lithium to run the induction, microwave and portable aircon when Overlanding, and am looking to upgrade the van to atleast 600Ah of lithium and big solar, etc for touring (run the aircon for a few hrs and microwave, mainly). Liking the fact that the Kings Blue Tops seem like a significant upgrade and the quality of their inverters (but I do use Renogy for that based on advice from my auto electrician). Good job y'all, don't listen to those soft clocks that just know how to bitch.

The B.M.S. should have tripped out way before 130 amps. If the rating of the battery is 100 amps continuous (charge state allowing) then the B.M.S. allowing it to climb to 130-140 as quoted, is worrying unless of course the temperature of the battery pack is cool enough to allow it ?

to add to this: this tokit is good for milder inverters as well: 30 = 950 watt 40= 1140 watt 50= 1250 watt 60=1320 watt 70=1430 watt 80=1610 watt 90=1820 watt 99=1980 watt Measured with my Ecoflow Delta pro

Just received a tokit there is no need for app. works on heat dial alone on 240v AC , but I tested on my 1000w/ 2000 burst inverter + 100AH lithium ( never used in anger yet ) and tripped even on lowest setting may not be up to the task :( Will try again after a full charge.

And lumins means nothing, it's lux and candella measured at a distance is what matters. Also it's not just plastic, it's fiber reinforced plastic, try breaking it, I bet you can't. Reason there is no rubber insulator is the lights won't be able to tighten down enough, aa the rubber drys out in the heat it shrinks and the lights will become loose. There is enough give in the "plastic" mounts to take care of it.

Just went to Pinfest today, on way home detoured on a side track just to check out, first time off-road and was looking for something easy to go though the gear settings to get familiar. Didn't know I was on this track until I saw the larger steps, didn't have a go as first time out and was just me. I did watch this video the other week as wasn't sure on the 4WD system of the Pajero. What a coincidence I found the same track. I'm from Sydney so not familiar with the area. Great video.

@DENMONKEY internal bungees are an occy strap on a zipper. Use one on rooftop tent works a treat. External latches like every other pop top out there. Simple and clamp down well. Easy to check on the road too.

If you haven't already replaced the tent peg, have a look at a square locking pin or square lynch pin. It would work good to stop the support flying away in the wind, easy to remove too.

Approx 20 - 30 amps because the box is not designed for this purpose. Anderson Plugs typically run at a maximum of 30 Amps but it would depend upon what cables they were attached to. In the battery box, they are designed for fridges etc.

I might throw a curve ball in here. I have an 08 NS Pajero. that at random while driving along I have a high pitch alarm go off. seems to come from behind the dash center. In order to get it to go off I have to stop the vehicle and turn off the engine. It doesn't come on again when I restart the engine. Any help would be appreciated.

Interesting, and a broad range of comments. I bought that same package as a heavily discounted end of FY package @ $338, with the intent of a mobile allday package to power an 80 litre fridge on days by the river, and to charge mobile devices, when I can't get near my vehicle. I mount the whole set up in one of those collapsible Beach carts, and my boys drag it around. Along with everything else for a day at the river. I'll never connect an inverter to it. Use it what it was designed for, and use it safely. My fourby has a custom 12V lithium system to power a 2600 inverter for induction, etc. That system, including 300AH of lithium, Redarc based, cost thousands, and is fed both by DC to DC and 400W of solar. The intent there is enough power, anywhere and in any conditions, when touring. Be sensible with your 12V system, and stay safe.
