The 450 series soundbars from Samsung are a definite step up from TV speakers. I have their 2015 model HW-J355 soundbar and subwoofer which is basically the same principle, 2.1 and no HDMI connection. It has a wired subwoofer which I like. It's a great starter set and I've gotten seven years of enjoyment out of mine. Looking to move up soon now however, and with something with rear speakers preferably, as well as a centre channel for sure.

The actual differentiating factor is if you prefer HomeKit, and if you want to have a better sound experience. Which, to be honest Google Home/Nest Mini still delivers a great audio experience, HomePod Mini just has better control on bass.

I purchased the complete setup and it's amazing. FYI: It you plan on using your system with ARC. This doesn't support it. It only supports optical(cable included), USB and 3mm audio.

the power supply plug ends rotate to make the plug any direction you want......Hello! I do not know it the instruction manual would have helped you as you had one I did not but figured this out myself by the little hash marks on the backside of the plug.
