I use a tunze ato and the only time i have had issues is if the filter floss or whatever pads you use get to dirty the pump will overflow the aquarium as the filters are restricti g the flow. Maybe the sa.e tbing

Would you happen to recall which skimmer you bought? I'm looking for one that has a fairly shallow entry. This appears to meet my needs!

Looking at doing my own similar size to you. Watching all your videos so as to minimise the “what I would have done differently at the end “😅. Out of curiosity what do you think to a blockwork raised pond instead, rendered on the inside and then resin coated to form the “liner”. I’ve seen it done at pond shops as their holding bays, would you say it’s a good method of doing one?

Did you know that ASHP’s need to be 3.0 m from an adjacent property. My local Planning Dept are insisting I apply for Planning Permission including an Acoustic Assessment. This came about because I am looking to install an ASHP for the house and since I have the one for the pond I need to apply for Planning for that one as well. No one mentions Planning when you buy the unit.

This is an old video, I got my Filtreau combi unit just before you. My unit was actually very simple to set-up, it flowed into my big, old multi chamber filter - my only problem was that I killed a lot of my m.chamber bacteria, so had a blanket weed problem, that clogged the filter and emptied 45cm of water....water quality ended up being brilliant though. I also feed a shower filter from the final chamber during the warmer months, absolutely zero rubbish getting through to the latter filter chambers. I'll have a look to see if you stuck with it 🍻 Watch out for otters in your area, a bast*rd got into my garden when I was on holiday last year and ate many of my quality younger fish !!!! They have no predators and are spreading fast.

IF YOU REPLACE ALL OF THE HARD 90S your pump whatever the make, will provide you with an increased approximately 40 to 50 better flow

very good filter system as you have shoed a pond bomb that hasn't broken down, that means that your water quality is(A +++++++++++++++++++++ OK)
@japankoiimport
@japankoiimport Жыл бұрын
seeing your pond bomb and the smaller and the smaller bio balls your water is 100% spot on as these will not dissolve unless your water needs them to, get rid of everything excluding the helex as it matures so much quicker and does not need so much air to boil +++ 1.5" will give you a maximum return of 3,00 lph under the engine of gravity and a 2 " is only 4,000 litres more and i am half blind at my age i really hope that is not a 30'000 pump that i have just seen as you will need a second mortgage to run it give me3 a ring on the office phone advice is always FOC and you can buy products from anyone else

Hi I’m a bit late to the show here as was 2 years ago lol I have a mate who runs a fish shop and I had the shock issue but was found to be a faulty UV unit …however here’s a great tip /trick he gave me….get a bicycle spoke & put a terminal connector on it then run an earth cable from that to a plug and plug it in …this insures your water is always earthed and stops any leaks on the electrics 👍🏻

Depends on the size of the window mate. I'm not an expert. I'd advise asking whoever is going to manufacture your glass. Mines 25.5mm

Thanks for this Danny, i've been contemplating one of these to get a bit better control over feeding. I have one of the p7000 feeders, but as you say they just dump it in a singular area and it causes the fish to just charge to the food once it drops and they end up with split fins. Good video 👍

Nice video Danny. I must say, seeing your fish in real was quite something. The pond looked amazing too and bigger (funny enough) in real compared to in videos, which is normally the other way around. You have done well. Good auto feeder, worth the investment. And thank you again for inviting me around.
