I used to think luxury could only be seen from a distance. It wasn’t until I met kislux that I discovered that beauty is so within reach.

Did the Ultra trifecta trifecta weekend - some of the best trail running I’ve ever done at any spartan race. Put together very well. Best time I’ve ever done at an ultra. Got first place in the open age group! And the super was 8 miles! 😮 Armer balls rolled off the course cuz it was on a hill! 😂

Just a quick tip. Make sure that money is not real on the videos. If it's real, it can be considered counterfeiting.

Love the recap, Tom was spot on, I was there photographing some friends! I have stayed at that zero star hotel before, have many stories to tell about it, if you can survive the hotel, you can survive the race! AirBnB/VRBO great options in surrounding areas. Shout-out Island Noodles, such an awesome food truck and VERY quick! Rumor mill that Spartan trying to cut costs was the reason for no Rolling Mud/Dunk wall but unconfirmed! Need and OCR Kings investigation! The Johnson Family themselves always come out and cheer participants on, kudos to them. Thinking about doing my first Ultra here, reminds me of some old high school cross country courses, BEAUTIFUL location and weather always works out.

I'm all for adding burpees back for open waves, but competitive burpees in elite/AG were a bad idea that I was glad they switched away from and am sad they're adding back. From award delays from video reviews, rampant cheating, to arguments among racers and volunteers about form, they were the bad old days. Penalty loops aren't perfect but they're fairer than burpees and easier to officiate...just make them harder. Also, I've read that in the races with burpees added back so far, NO ONE is watching them, honor system for competitive racers to count themselves, yikes. Spartan wants to be taken more seriously as a sport and honor system burpees don't belong anywhere near a competitive race.

Spartan Race on Sparta, I like the idea

Just got home from Greece/European vacation and had to watch you guys and Tom! Tom is a stud plain and simple, he was honored on stage for basically being a stud! What more can you say. Good race, it was an experience and very glad I did it, glad I did the year, met a ton of awesome people and met Tom because of you guys for sure... let me tell you he is an inspiration. I am finishing this year in Phoenix and wrapping up with an x15, my wife said she needed some dinner plate coasters 🙂but they cant go in the microwave. Wanted to also add I tried the hand to hand method you showed for the multi-rig and was able to complete it for the first time, had one comment that "that was the most awkward I have ever seen that done" I wasnt graceful thats for sure but honestly I laughed, I didnt care how bad I looked since I was finally able to complete it without penalty. Look forward to more sit-reps in the future! Thank You Guys!

I have an unrelated Spartan Race question that I'm having trouble finding an answer to. I'm doing my first Spartan Ultra in Ohio in May 2025. I've done dozens of other races and always checked a bag. For the Ultra, we use a bucket in the drop area but do we also have the ability to check a bag like usual that day? I'd like to keep just what I need for the race in the drop bucket but also check a bag for what I need after the race. Any help is appreciated, fellas.

This was my first ever marathon the crowd really does keep you moving. I cried. Congrats!!
