do you mean don’t use conditioner every time you wash, or just don’t DEEP condition every time? i use a lightweight conditioner every 2 weeks because i have high porosity hair and live somewhere dry. loved the video, would love some advice, thanks!!!❤

Great question! I don’t deep condition every time. But I do typically provide a light amount of leave in conditioner after every wash. (VERY LIGHT AMOUNT) and mainly only on the ends of my hair. And then I mixed water and leave in , in a spray bottle and mist my hair like every other day, especially if you’re in a dry area.

No real distinct difference, you just leave your twist in permanently to become locs. Sometimes when people are getting 2 strand twist specifically for locs, they’ll start by doing a comb coil at the root or braid at the root just to help secure them tighter and help them loc faster. I didnt do that, but it’s an option. Also sometimes when people do twist with the intention of locs. They are bit neater and more methodical in their partings and number of locs because they know they’ll be in “permanently” Hope that helps ❤️ make sure to subscribe!

I just started with my 2 strands twist. Loc FridayMay 5,2024 . keep silk bonnet on spray with water everyday in morning or at night use water & oil on hair 2 times a week. I have 64 of them & my hair type is 4C real thick & soft . I been natural for 12-13 years. Didn’t cut my hair down till it was short ❤ it.

The length of time you take to wash your hair entirely depends on what your hair needs. Also, it's not about "who started a theory of dirty hair is the way to go with locs." Rastas, in general, prioritize low manipulation of hair, often going months without washing theirs. It is not considered dirty because they do not use conventional hair products like we do. Their diets are also much cleaner, which naturally affects secretions.

I use a satin scarf over my pillow. The bonnet & scarf never stayed on my head.
