Exactly same. One of my friends always tells me to go to a loctician but I refuse to do it because they are so expensive and it's not a one time thing. You have to go to them every few weeks or month. I got enough bills to worry about. Last thing I need to worry about is adding a hair bill to that list

I’m so used to wearing braids that I feel like it compliments my face as far as having the full look , plus the length (normal length) . My natural hair is shoulder length, and when I wore twist in my natural hair it was cute but I still felt insecure about my hair being bare. I hate that the braids make me feel comfort like a fat kid wearing a coat in the summer to hide her arms type of feeling. I keep pulling toward wanting to loc my hair cause I know I can make it cute. The length of time you take to wash your hair entirely depends on what your hair needs. Also, it's not about "who started a theory of dirty hair is the way to go with locs." Rastas, in general, prioritize low manipulation of hair, often going months without washing theirs. It is not considered dirty because they do not use conventional hair products like we do. Their diets are also much cleaner, which naturally affects secretions.

@Roccworld_Trizzy12724 Жыл бұрын
@@mesha0712 yes ma’am. I went to an Afro-Jamaican lady with descent sized afro and told her I wanted two strand twist. My birthday was in 5 days and I really wanted braids but I didn’t think I had enough hair for hang time so I went with two strand twist. I never gave her a size preference or anything. I just let her do what she felt was best and I ended up with a thicker set. For me it’s perfect because they shape and fit my face perfectly with and without my glasses. But I also semi freeform so they did end up being different sizes and I cut all the 2 headed dragons and i ended up with this permanent freeform look. But that could also be from damage due to me just doing what I want with them I don’t have a real routine at all I just let my hair tell me when and what it needs as it needs

I’ve been looking for someone with bigger than microlocs who maintains their hair with interlocking. Question - have you found that alternating methods has had a negative affect on your hair? I started with retwisting and have been interlocking the last few months. But I’ve been considering trying a retwist next time and was curious if it would cause issues.
@ImsimplyLC2 жыл бұрын
Personally speaking, I haven’t found it to be a problem. I’ve never interlocked more than 2 times in 1 year but typically only once a year and for the rest of the time I retwist!
