Ah yes the triple lock, because Russia and China really need to have the final say on Irish military activity and not the Irish people, through their democratically elected government.

I was in the scrubs wrongly convicted myself when the Birminghan 6 came back for there appeal so had a gang of chess with Billy power as was wrongly convicted myself then acquitted thanks to being on Rough justice twice but uea that nightmare stays with ya & the thought they would of hung me & not given a shite despite nobody see me do it & the police where lying. Our institutionalised ways are stuck in us years later & times doen the block for nothing & even referd to Broadmoor from some probation/pshycologist from the scrubs coz I was maintaining my in ovence & Broadmoor refused me saying I have every right too.

Has anyone got information on what and where all the good crop's and animals were sent and sold to during that timeframe? There must be ship's manifests with signatures to prove.

It was plain Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing. We had many British Unionists still left in Ireland after the War of Independence, and the Truth of this horror was kept out of the School Curriculum History, as to not offend these People.

One of the most Underrated and Unknown Great figures in Irish History. We owe him the Ground under our Feet in most of Mayo that otherwise would still belong to the Lord Lucans!

Welcome to Great Britain where the scales of justice are porous on the side of the accused. Do not vote, refuse jury duty and never, I repeat never speak to a politician with a rosette on. RIP, all those fitted up especially Gerry, Guiseppe and Carole and those incarcerated for being born in Ireland. 🇮🇪

Isolationism and neutrality do not work. When the free world takes two steps backwards, the dictatorships take four steps forwards. Isolationism means stepping back from allies, trading partners and fellow EU members who then turn their backs on you when you are eventually in trouble anyway. Isolationism is like a tightrope walker throwing away his safety net. Isolationism means freeloading on neighbours for defence. That's why Russia is pushing isolationism and division in the West. Peace, freedom, and strength through unity and allies!

The only comfort I take in Gerry’s life and subsequent death is that he was born and died where he belonged…in his beloved Belfast. I pray that someday soon, there will finally be a united Irelamd ✊🏻🇮🇪 God rest ye, Gerry…for you are with your dear Da, Giuseppe

Just watched the Paddy Hill interview on Hardtalk prior to Gerry Conlon's speech. They are both correct about British Justice. Just look at the recent case of the sub postmaster's (an injustice which in no way compares to the suffering these two guys endured) which again shows without people power innocent people suffer.

Truth is we Irish were never any different to the rest of Britain/Europe. Irish Nationalists just try to exploit the suffering of the Irish poor to justify their bigotry.

Gerry's story is so powerful. I remember very well watching him walk out the front door of the Old Bailey the day he was exonerated and the pictures will stay with me forever. It was a lot more than a miscarriage of justice. As we know his dad died in Jail, and he lost 15 years of his life. I can't imagine what it must be like to be innocent and jailed for such a long long time. The movie "in the name of the father" is one of the greatest true story movies ever made. Even after all this time the movie still gets me at the end and that's a powerful powerful movie. Great speech from Gerry here. R.I.P

I'm an American of Irish ancestry. My Irish ancestor, Patrick McDermott came over to America alone at 14 years old a few years before the famine. And yet, I've had this intense grief and have been crying a lot watching this and learning about this famine. It seems strange but I think it's because the Irish people of that time are my people too. In 2023, I'm an American, but 1847, the Irish people were my people. And I'm coming to terms with the horror of what happened to them.
