what about learnings songs ?! i am beginner actually learning triads on each keys and inversion. Do you advice to me more on practice these ( what i do now) or more on learning songs

Not gonna lie, the first tip hit me hard. I tend to practice the "phat chords" and all that fancy stuff but I forget to touch the fundamentals. As a result, although I can play in all 12 keys fluently, I tend to "borrow" from other keys instead of just learning the fundamentals of that key! To others, I sound great in Amaj but deep down inside, I know I'm just borrowing movements I'm familiar with from Gmaj, Emaj, Dmaj 😭😭😂

Yep for me each day has a key to learn in major minors flats n sharps and diatonics

Great stuff, bro. I will adapt these tips to practice on the job. Additionally, I found an app for iOS called "Tone" by Coda Labs that really helps with the perfect pitch and also allows for training the ears for chord recognition.

I have latest korg Kronos 2, Yamaha modx6+, Roland fantom O6 along with these , I have even kept Roland XP60 & XP30 in my library. They both are my trusted members.

I was on board with Nord but switched to a software set up. I now use my trusty Nord Electro 4 as a midi controller and run soft synths like Hammond B3X and modartts pianoteq 8. Pure clones are just inflexible to a lot of music situations but hey if you have the 💵 knock yourself out

The C2D is not great. The C/V is awful. Leslie effect is not great, have to use a ventilator or real leslie. I'm wondering if they use the 3 contacts to simulate the randomness of the 9 key contacts of a hammond.

Was honestly expecting the Electro 7 with enhanced features like the pitch stick and mod wheel but sadly, to my disappointment, seems that’s not going to happen.

To all my fellow musicians. Stop thinking information is free. Some people go to great lengths to get this information. Meaning college, instructors, ect. Nobody honestly have to teach you and to be precise you all including my self should want to be better. I’m not apart of his website but I understand this because of me investing in myself which I won’t put that info up and promote because this isn’t nobody but DBs platform. But understand something. Theory and understanding outweighs ear playing anyway. I never realized that until i started actually learning jazz theory. Learn the boring stuff first and I mean EFFECTIVELY. Get it under your fingers and then you apply. The best knowledge is the muscle memory. Once you play a c chord for so long you automatically know that a c major 7 consist of a C-E-G-A or understanding without looking that the 3 of D major is F#/Gb. We have to stop looking for the easy way out and SLOWLY build routines. That’s where the growth and muscle memory locks in. Practice something slow and precise and it will lock into your memory. Practice quick and messy and that’s what’s going to lock in. Trust me. I’ve played for 10 years and I can honestly say I don’t feel like I’ve really played but the last 2. Breaking bad habits is hard. Just take this as a piece of wisdom and grow with it🤝 Keep working and putting out great content DB 💪🔥

Totally disagree! Nord has been far behind regarding organ clones and a big reason why I didn't buy a Stage 3 OR 4. That premium price with an inferior organ? No way! You should be glad that they didn't release the Electro 7 as hopefully this new organ engine will be implemented in the next Electro as well in the next Stage model. Still can't say how good this new organ sounds from that one demo

In all actuality, I argue theory first. It is the equivalent of any practice or art, not knowing the system, process and discipline and the WHY/HOW behind the what is what defines the what. You can’t build an engine just because you think you can drive a car, you can’t make a Michelin star meal just because you can boil an egg. Theory, because music. Peace to all!

What's so special about the Electro? I had one, and found it did not suit my ears and I sold it. If I ever decide to get another Nord, it would be a used one.

I’m hoping they still may drop it this year. They have released two in the same year in the past, correct? I have a 6HP. I love it, but struggle with the TP-100 keybed. I was hoping for a 7 with the new TP-110. I would just go for a stage, but I have to keep the weight down because of a bad back. Honestly, if they don’t drop it soon, I’m considering switching to the Yamaha YC-73.

More likely a re-hashed C2D with few tweaks then double the price of the original......over-priced Nords...smh.

The C3 is nothing more than C2D that costs $1000 more. Very disappointing release; they could have done so much more. They should have just copied the XK-5.

I don't see why they discontinued the C2D. I feel they could have just pushed out software updates. And why are there 3 velocity layers on an organ? We don't need that. Update the electro 7 and the piano 5.

I like the Organ 3 but agree that Piano 5 and A1 are redundant. Electro 7, Organ 3 and Stage 5 please!

Nord finally seeing the need for dual manual organs. I wish I didn't get my crumar dual manual, otherwise I would get it. Not only that, it's gonna be $4k while I spend only $2k on my crumar. I'll pass for now

I completely disagree with you. Just the addition of physical drawbars with LED segments (as found on the Stage 4), and the ability to transpose by program (a key feature for gigging musicians) makes this worth upgrading from a C2 or C2D. If you think about it for a second, this opens the door for logical improvements on the Electro 7, and a new marketing tool to be able to say “same as our flagship Nord Organ 3”. Brilliant business decision, and the naming stays in line with simple names like Stage, Piano, Grand, Wave and Electro. The old organs were reactive names, based on the fact that they originally launched the C1 organ as the B3, but quickly changed the name due to trademarking issues. Then they stayed on the C2, C2D path, which always said that they were a copy of a Hammond, where the new Organ naming says they are Nord, and their own thing. Very well done. Sorry, but I think you are wrong here.
