I agree. I brought the first one for my Organ player. When he pass away it was given back to me and I give to a keyboard player which still using it. By the time the C2D came out it was higher in price and then it was out of production. And like @langst0nm1 stated is impossible to find used or broken. So now its back in production, we'll see if there are new. Now I can get one for my younger organ player and may buy another as a backup cause I do sound.

I know this is new , but I also think it is priced too high to even consider getting it now. What are you talking about? The C2D has been discontinued for 5 years. They’re impossible to find, because no one is selling theirs. The electro is in need of an update mostly because, partially by design, it is too far away from the stage. I think they’ve gone slightly too far in stripping it back, but you know enough to know anyone who wants to program sounds properly for regular gigs and wants a fuller synth engine, needs to buy the stage; why would they make the electro so close to the stage that there’s no reason to upgrade to the flagship?

I play at a venue where Pat Bianchi updated the settings on the house viscount and it sounds so much closer than any other clonewheel Ive ever played..

In my opinion, we were due for the Organ 3. Now I'd like to see the organ enhancements from the Organ 3 make their way into the next Electro and Stage boards rather than releasing an Electro first that has an organ section that goes out of date shortly after.

Honestly, not impressed at all... it is the same leslie sound from before with just a few new filters... and you are getting the stage 4 effects. At least you are getting ox outputs for routing sounds, but that's it. They are saying even the vibrato for the organ is new, but it sounds really similar i bet it doesn't have a flash drive port on there

I completely disagree with you. Just the addition of physical drawbars with LED segments (as found on the Stage 4), and the ability to transpose by program (a key feature for gigging musicians) makes this worth upgrading from a C2 or C2D. If you think about it for a second, this opens the door for logical improvements on the Electro 7, and a new marketing tool to be able to say “same as our flagship Nord Organ 3”. Brilliant business decision, and the naming stays in line with simple names like Stage, Piano, Grand, Wave and Electro. The old organs were reactive names, based on the fact that they originally launched the C1 organ as the B3, but quickly changed the name due to trademarking issues. Then they stayed on the C2, C2D path, which always said that they were a copy of a Hammond, where the new Organ naming says they are Nord, and their own thing. Very well done. Sorry, but I think you are wrong here.

I'm from Mexico and here there are not many options to buy a double manual organ, in reality there is nothing of Viscount or Crumar or Hammond, and getting an original B3 is very difficult, Nord has a presence all over the world and I am very happy that they have brought back the Organ 3, it is my opportunity to finally have a complete B3 experience.

I would love to have an electro with pitch bend and modulation wheel. 2 piano layers would be great with the use of an external keyboard so you can play piano on the nord and for example clavinet on the external keyboard.

I haven't tried any of the clones myself but Crumar and Hammond itself have great clones. Never knew that the C2D was the best. I did read that it had some shortcomings. Personally, from listening on KZbin, it didn't sound to me like C2D was the best. I prefer the Crumar and Hammond.

I was on board with Nord but switched to a software set up. I now use my trusty Nord Electro 4 as a midi controller and run soft synths like Hammond B3X and modartts pianoteq 8. Pure clones are just inflexible to a lot of music situations but hey if you have the 💵 knock yourself out

Never you will see it. Electro Line is focused on pianos/organs, instruments that doesn't uses this kind of controllers. The Synth on the electro is just a "plus"... if you want a moodweel and slider -- controllers to synths -- you have to buy Nord Wave ou Nord Stage. Nord Stage principle: a nord organ + a nord piano + a nord wave. For that has all the controllers of this 3 instruments. Thats why it[s the top of the NOrd.

If they're updating the Electro 7, why ship it with the outdated C2D engine and then release the Organ 3 after? Surely that's going to make the Electro 7 an even better product? Then they can have an updated organ engine, better synth capabilities and the cool effects rather than just adding new effects and a slight update to the sample engine. Personally I'd be more mad if they took 7 years to update it and all they did was add the updated effects and maybe a filter dial to the synth :D. Also, as someone who's been trying to get my hands on a C2D or even a C2 for a while now, glad there's finally something I can get that's new, and with the shiny new additions too! Looking forward to getting my hands on one to give it a test drive, but agreed, an electro 7 would have been a welcome, late Christmas present lmao

We have not heard really if the Organ 3 sound different from the C2D, but if it is an improvement, then perhaps Nord will include the new organ sound with the S4 and Electro 7 OS update! It remains to be seen what Nord does! And why does Nord not increase the memory, only 2 Gig! Memory is cheap now days! They could put a 5-20 gig in there easily! Or allow you to upgrade yourself! I think they are just lazy and do not want to make the effort!

Haha fair, but honestly this video was an experiment that proved me right! Nord got the musician community (especially gospel) in a chokehold lol! They are bringing these top gospel musicians on to market to gospel musicians lol, and these players know the community ain't got the bag to buy a $4k+ instrument lol! I had the Stage 2EX and traded it for a Jupiter 6 lol! I currently own the Electro 6 (61 keys) and I bought it because it's the cheapest but I love the Stage! This one church in my area dropped $7K on the Stage 4 just to play the piano sound smh!

I think the electro is a waste. imo. How can you have synth sound with no mod wheel or with bend.

Yeah the lack of pitch bend and mod wheel is a shame! Honestly I feel like these features should be standard in all Nord keyboards. That would eliminate the keyboards with crazy overlap!

Bro! You’re a bit too worried about this. C2D hasn’t been available for a couple years. They have an updated engine, and it sounds great. As for electro 7, 6 is perfectly find right now. There hasn’t been an update needed for the sample engine for quite a while. As for the piano / grand comparison. One is a stage piano, the other is an “acoustic” piano experience. That kawaii Keybed is the best in the industry. Also, it’s heavy af, and not for everyone that wants a piano focused stage piano.

Honestly, I feel like every type of i-workstations, stage keyboards, MIDI controllers, keybeds, sounds, features, VSTs-has already reached its peak. That said, I have to give Nord credit; the C2D, though discontinued, felt like a rare masterpiece, similar to the Roland Jupiter-80, hard to find very hard. So, I understand why Nord needed to introduce something new. Won’t buy it though.

Totally disagree! Nord has been far behind regarding organ clones and a big reason why I didn't buy a Stage 3 OR 4. That premium price with an inferior organ? No way! You should be glad that they didn't release the Electro 7 as hopefully this new organ engine will be implemented in the next Electro as well in the next Stage model. Still can't say how good this new organ sounds from that one demo

Honestly, not impressed at all... its basically the same leslie sound from before with just a few new filters... and you are getting the stage 4 effects. At least you are getting ox outputs for routing sounds, but that's it. They are saying even the vibrato for the organ is new, but it sounds really similar i bet it doesn't have a flash drive port on there
