What's cool about the Anthology vs MK8 is that the plugin takes up just under three gigs of disk space which is great if you're looking to conserve your available storage.

Yes!! I love the V8 pro but it’s hefty while Anthology barely touches your hard drive! Rhodes definitely improved with that! 🙏🏾

Deyquan, great job with this demo. Very professional. The consistency in comparing the settings helps a lot. Excellent playing as well. I wonder if well trained ears would be able to tell the difference between the plugin and the real instrument in a blind A-B test, assuming settings are identical. Digital emulations have come a long way. But I’m still not sure they can emulate the timbre, nuances, presence, lovely imperfections of the real thing. Anyway, I appreciate you, man. Keep it up! This sounds good, but I think all the Rhodes libraries sound great! From Keyscape, Velvet, Lounge Lizard, Arturia, Neo soul keys... If you have any one of these plugins you will be just fine!

Rhodes V8 sounds so much more full! This plugin is more thin. It’s okay for its value.

The V8 is definitely a beast. I did keep the EQ flat on the sounds and the different amp models does change the weight of the Rhodes. The tones sound natural on the Anthology plugin in my opinion.

remember the MK8 is a brand new Rhodes from the ground up. This new plugin has samples of other Rhodes pianos they made throughout the years. each one has its own character and vibe.

I've bought V8 and couldn't activate it in my Logic Pro. After placing the licence code it freezes in "activating" status forever. Reinstallation didn't help. No answer from support for 2 days. Huge disappointment...

I personally think it’s a different beast! You can probably get close if you tweak the sounds but they’re samples of different instruments.

The Anthology is a collection of the Sparkletop, MK1, MK5 and MK7 Rhodes and V8 Pro is the virtual version of the MK8. The V8 pro has more customization features while Anthology has different models! If you can afford it, get both!

I think the editing capabilities with the V8 pro is unmatched. There isn’t a tine knob but you can get a brighter bell-like tone with the sparkle top model and by adjusting the timbre!
