You guys just needed to dig down right there in front of the wall. That hole you cleared out early on that the dog laid in would have been a great starting point. Next time find a spot just like that and continue to expand the hole side to side right there at the base of the wall. The top 4 feet or so is really overburden and not very opal rich. And you have to put in the back breaking effort to get your money's worth in return. Use the larger pick to break chunks off and use the smaller tools for breaking it up. Pay attention for wood while digging and slow down when you find something. Use a screwdriver or chisel to excavate any opal you find in the ground so you don't break it up too much. ✌️ Thanks for sharing your adventure, I was rooting for you guys the entire time. I know all you needed was one good find to totally change your day. If the digging is too difficult, use a quarter inch classifier screen and shift tailings. I've found amazing things in the 30 year old tailings even. You just have to soft a lot of dirt. Super easy too, unless the wind is blowing. 😅 Check out my videos if you want to see my finds. Have a blessed day. ✌️

Glad to find this video first. Not bad to do but it sure made it easier to lift the top like that. I may have spent a hour trying to figure out how to go in from the back. LOL Thanks!!

Excellant video! Can you drop the tailgate with your setup? How much does the trailer weigh? What brand of hitch do you have?

Hi! Great review! We have a 20BHS and we love it! I noticed the small struggle when you opened the main door. Check you door strike (located on the frame of the trailer) ours was installed backwards which made the door harder to open. Since we switched it around, we see a huge difference :-) Happy travels!

I'm curious as to how difficult it is to get an Australian Blue Cattle dog outside of Australia. I see them in a lot of Nth American KZbin videos. Also, I wonder if they became desireable because of the Road Warrior movie (Mad Max 2). I'm Australian (in Australia) and I've had two 'Blue Heelers' in my life. Fun fact: Did you know they live longer than any other dog? The Guiness Book of World Records reports that a Blue Heeler named Major was the oldest dog at 27 years old. They're a hybrid of a Dingo, a Kelpie and a Scottish Blue Mearle Collie, bred to perform cattle work in the harsh Australian outback.

I am not sure. My son got his ACD from a breeder here in Arizona that got the parents in Australia. They are great dogs we use them to work cattle. We have had several over the years because they are such good dogs.

In about 3 years or so, I also may get a small (and "off-road ready") travel-trailer (TT) for my Gladiator (when it's paid-off!), but a slightly smaller/lighter-weight TT. Will use the truck's bed (which has a tri-fold hard bed-cover on it) to carry extra water, propane and such to extend any boon-docking/dry-camping stays. Maybe even a small gas/propane generator. Happy Travels with yours, -- BR
