Hi Sandro, the quick answer will be Powder cake, because it wont spoil compared to other bait foods. But in early game, we can use birchnut as bait, because it lasts for 20 days (compared to carrot that lasts for 10 days or berries that lasts for 6 days). Hope this helps 😄

I did it on console, placing that sign was impossible, so i decided just to put a wall there because on my first try the enemies kept coming, once I placed the wall it was a cake walk

Thank you Kroban 😄 I thought about the cute marotters too, however because they sometimes eat food on the floor (meat / carrot / fish), marotters will reduce this farm result, so its not profitable adding marotters in this farm, but i'll try to think a way to use these cute food thief haha, thank you for the suggestion 😄☺️👍

That's actually pretty nice, I can adapt my frog farm to get that juicy fuel. I found myself using a lot of it in the endgame, for me, it takes about 22 nightmare fuel to defeat dragonfly and about 25 to defeat queen bee

Fantastic video, I wish I had looked for video tutorials instead of just scouring wiki page by page. This would have helped me the first time venturing in Caves a lot. The Atrium and Archive seems to be missing, but I guess they would be covered in later videos that I have yet to watch DST wiki is frustrating to read at times. Sometimes there is info from singleplayer DS included in DST-only section. Sometimes the info is wrong or prone to misunderstanding, as there have been occasions I had to ask players on Klei Discord server for the correct answers. Sometimes the info is missing even though it shouldn't, like for example, the whole ordeal about grey "road" turf and ruin's Set Pieces in the video, where are all those things in wiki? I am really sorry but I can't find them. Maintaining wiki is a thankless job, sadly, I can understand that. It doesn't help when my first instinct of playing a new game is to find a wiki of it, as youtube's game tutorials weren't quite reliable all the time, and constantly asking interent strangers about every new thing isn't very welcome either.

Sorry for not mentioning in this video, that while experimenting, I also tried to put pig house to fight with the tallbird to get pig skins, but after some experiments, I found that bunnyman and tallbird combination is simplest, fastest and more effective; thats why I mentioned we can make ham bat from this farm (at least we have a guarantee source of meat from bunnymen n tallbird) In my next video related to tallbird farm, I also added pigmen and merm. In short, I understand you feel its a clickbait, but its never my intention, thanks for pointing it out, I'll be more cautious in the future ☺️

I don't care if the game says "together" most of the playerbase plays solo and klei is able to do fun but challenging boss fights (ancient guardian and eye of terror, maybe crabking but i haven't see the bossfight yet) I also find funny how we are still able to "cheese" the ways klei intended to kill the player

There no reason to nerf it, ancient guardian is a weak boss overall, and gear which you use is an endgame, fast kill is absolutely justified

Thank you Samsue 😄 ah yes I just tried, its not effective because tallbird will die very quickly (coz being attacked by many bunnymen at once), it can work but will not yield much result coz tallbird cannot kill some bunnymen to get some drops, but its a good suggestion, thanks Samsue! 😄👍

Yes we can use pan flute to put everyone to sleep Samsue, its just that i feel its too expensive to use pan flute as mandrake / green gem is rare in the early game, but yes we can use pan flute when we have enough resources to recycle our pan flute 😄☺️👍

I have like 40 walls on both sides but the larvae go all the way around. I have dragon fly so much

Oh do you put the Sign on the middle between the walls? Because if you only put all the walls, the larvae will see them as obstacle and will go around the walls. So we need to put a Sign in the middle /between the stone walls, because larvae did not see Sign as obstacle, so they will keep trying to pass through the Sign but will be blocked.

@@Wattata888 Good to hear from you! We miss you!! But yes it's just all walls. I um, tried to put walls around the lava pools to make it easier but yeah... Even one going through (probably from the middle pool) just kills all my catapults. I will try your suggestion. This is my first time playing with Winona and this fight is a nightmare T__T. Makes me miss Willow who can just walk in and kill him with a hambat, Bernie and some embers.

Ahh we need to have a Sign between the walls, try to follow the Sign set up in the video from 1:40 to 2:55 , it will help to prevent the lavae from getting past the walls, you can do it!! Yeahh I miss being more active in dst too my friend, will post when I have more free time, thanks so much!! 😄🤗🍻

@@Wattata888 Thank you. And the tip worked! Granted they still get through sometimes through the sign but it still helps. I'm thinking maybe a fossil or statue might be more stable in the future. It's weird because on my Wolfgang world the larvae never go around the wall and its just a straight wall... Oh well.

Glad to know the Sign worked yey! 😄 But yeah i understand, sometimes dragonfly do the spawn lavae animation on our side of the walls, so the lavae that spawned is on our side and can attack us, since you are using Winona, the moment you see this stray lavae, you can kite it away from your catapults, or use pan flute to make sure it didnt go far and finish it ASAP 😁 Maybe lavae is scared of Wolfgang 😆😆💪😎

Ah the update to relocate the nest was launched about 1 year ago, yes i love the crazy 60hp heal and the 150 hunger gain from the Tall Scotch Egg recipe, so easy to make as well, plus the meats and bunny puffs drop, total profit haha 😁🤩 Have fun my friend 😄

@@Wattata888 Yes, and i looked a lot of guides but when it came to actually doing it myself it was pretty scary and i thought i wouldn't do that( and because of that i was watching even more guides but didn't play a lot), but now that i did rushed ruins 2 times i see that it's easy :) the only things are left is to build a base, explore the main island and survive, and then i think I'll survive until summer for the first time and maybe I'll even defeat the moon champion and nightmare fuel weaver I'm WX78 main btw, i hope Klei releases skill tree for him soon:)

It takes a long time to raise them and make sure they don't die from hunger or other mobs :D I even tried to build a wall around them so they'd stay safe but if I walked away too far from them, they would just "get out" of the walls and follow me anyway :(

Ah yes the small babybirds will follow us everywhere we go, I suggest to lure the adult tallbird from the mosaic biome to near your base (following the guide in this video), its easier and less time consuming than raising from the egg😊

Okay I’ve tried this twice now and both times didn’t work. I even used an extra marble suit and brought extra healing food. The larvae still got through and I still died. Idk what’s not working. Is it because I’m using Wendy?

if the lavae pass through the wall, means you have some open gap between the sign / pool / wall, sometimes dragonfly can summon lavae when he stand on same area with us (means the lavae spawn is not blocked by the wall), to prevent this, you can put a layer of wall surrounding that pool. Aside from lavae, there should be no problem in handling the dragonfly as long as you have marble suit to tank the damage. For Wendy, i think we should keep Abigail passive when dragonfly go to spawn lavae so Abigail didnt follow dragonfly and get attacked by the lavae, hope this helps!

@@lilgoofygoober9867 yep i think thats where they came from, as the fight goes dragonfly can spawn up to 2 lavae from 1 pond, have you tried using pan flute to deal with the lavae? Since they will die after 30seconds

Turn on events so you can access gift wraps which work exactly like bundling wraps. Holds 4 item stacks and will not spoil. That way you can prepare gifts ahead of time for ruins. I put in a hambat, pierogis, green caps and a gold pickaxe. Try it out.

I wonder what weapon you use? I was using fresh hambat and using Wilson with normal damage as seen in video, tested several times, workingg fine, i think it is because of your damage output, you are using Wendy only or Wendy + Abigail? if only Wendy, since she has -25% damage penalty, that means the fight is 25% longer and means need 25% more armor, sorry I didnt think of this, but surely, that means if you have 5 marble suits, the fight is surely win! 😄 (you can grow the marbles first to get more marbles), lemme know your progress :)
