The new game shows just don’t have the heart that the old ones did.

This was about 2 years after Vivian Vance died in August 1979. Lucy appeared on talk shows over the next 9 plus years, and whenever she talked about Vivian Vance, she would get teary-eyed. I think some people who were close to Lucy during that time have said she never really got over losing Vivian.

I've always been a fan... Lucie has such a warm, funny personality. She was the best part of "The Jazz Singer" (1980) She does sound like Helen Reddy here, and that's a compliment!

Everything she said is so true. After the divorce…Lucy threw Desi under the bus so much when he may not have been a perfect person but he was brilliant in business. There was one interview where she dogged him so bad with her current husband present and it was horrible.

It seems to me that ol" Lucy has had a few. Shes 64 here and its obvious that she is either fed up , or it seems to me that she is sexually frustrated. Her husband Garry Morton is just off stage - and Lucy seems to be curmudgeonally in her cups - so to speak !Listen to her laugh.......shes tipsy...!

This is a good interview. I never realized what a good interviewer Joan was. I'm surprised. You'd think as a performer that she would hog the spotlight but she didn't at all. Most interviewers today do.

I like how Joan let Lucie talk and not try to take over the interview and speak Lucie's or her own mind. Or act just plain rude to her. So many interviewers would do that to people and it would be so frustrating watching the interviews 😬😏😓

What a lovely, generous, touching interview! Has the ring of truth. And Lucie Arnaz is enchanting. I can see more of her father in her than her mother, but they are both there. I love both Lucy and Desi, and was really taken by the observation that Desi had a great sense of humor, whereas Lucy had a great gift for physical comedy. So true!
