As if Joplin, Missouri isn't enough for the butterfly effects, we'd imagine these effects happen all over Oklahoma and Dixie Alley, from various murals surrounding the community to the parks and memorials in honor of >550 people who lost their lives in the year 2011. After working on the butterfly murals in Joplin, Missouri; residents of the following locations: Wichita, Andover, and Greensburg, Kansas; Parkersburg, Iowa; Joplin, Missouri; and the states of Oklahoma and Texas would team up with >1000 Dixie Alley Children and Volunteers to work on the murals, dedicating them to friends and loved ones who perished in the following events: The 2011 Super Outbreak, The Joplin, Missouri (E)F5, and the El Reno-Piedmont, Oklahoma (E)F5. Murals across the states would depict the darkness of the following days in 2011: April 27, the day Bridge Creek-Moore 1999 broke loose all over the states of Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia, gradually fading into light and color the next day on the 28th, the calm after the Super Outbreak; May 22, the day the (E)F5 ripped through the city of Joplin, Missouri; and May 24, the day the 6th (E)F5 of 2011 demolished El Reno and Piedmont, Oklahoma; gradually fading into light and color, the calm after the storms Bulldozers and cranes would spread across the landscape, rebuilding the states up from the rubble. And finally, a rebuilt Dixie Alley, Joplin, El Reno, and Piedmont in all their glory.

Hey there, tornado survivor here. I was prepared for my death after hearing thunder and seeing lightning outside the windows of my former New Jersey house. I was a tornado geek back then, so I knew what was going on. But a whole outbreak in my state? I made a video on KZbin saying that I was going to die, and it wasn't some April Fools joke. Luckily I survived, but the outbreak has to be one of my closest deaths.

I truly amazes me that people in the region would rather rebuild home after home, but it looks nice and traditional, rather build a home partially underground and cover it with dirt, like a hobbit home. Not as pretty on the exterior, but can be very nice on the inside, but most importantly, your house would be far more likely to survive, even if hit directly by a tornado like this.

24:31 Imagine effects like this spread all over Dixie Alley, from various murals surrounding the Dixie Alley community to the parks and memorials in honor of >320 people who lost their lives on April 27, 2011. Residents of the following locations: Wichita, Andover, and Greensburg, Kansas; Parkersburg, Iowa; Joplin, Missouri; and the states of Oklahoma and Texas would descend into Dixie Alley, mostly in the hardest-hit states of Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia to team up with >1000 children and volunteers to work on the murals, dedicating them to friends and loved ones who perished in the outbreak. Murals across the states would depict the darkness of April 27, the day Bridge Creek-Moore 1999 broke loose all over the states, gradually fading into light and color the next day on the 28th, the calm after the Super Outbreak. Textbook case on why mesoscale features matter. You do not need an elite level April 27 2011 synoptic setup to produce EF5 tornadoes. You can also get them with trash to decent synoptic parameters if enough variables at the mesoscale come together. This is why the NWS/SPC is so important. These details are still very hard for computer models to resolve.

Please do not leave comments mocking the victims shown in Overcast's next video of the 2011 Super Outbreak, or those who leave their stories and experiences in the comment sections. We’ve seen a violent rampup of that on both the Moore 2013 and Joplin 2011 videos.

Ummh Not the last EF5. where is your proofe this was the last EF%? Get things correct before you post. Typical American. Acting like rapist trump. Just say what you want. You know we laugh att your pathetic country Boeing dying and Airbus winning as your guy older than Byden that says he will solve everything. Where is your free healthcare like here? Where is your free teaching like here? Where is your assisted univerity learning like here. Yeah. You guys have a so called freedom to be utter eejits a lead by aconvicted criminal. A World first. A Rule by law and if you deny that then you deny the same due process that put many behind bars. I could take you apart if you argue the legal system. So try me. or realise the rest of the world gives Zero care about America. The little country that says it will but never does

The worst I experienced was when a high-end EF3 struck my city of Springfield, Massachusetts, our house was mostly destroyed. It was June 1st 2011, the day started off incredibly humid and unstable conditions. My family and I took cover in the basement, and the tornado albeit destroyed our house. The floor above us was peeled back, and I was the lucky one to get lifted out and lofted into the neighbors back yard, I hit my head and woke up to fireman standing over me. This was by far the most terrifying experience of my life, but me and my family survived, which is more than I can say for our neighbor who was protecting her daughter in the tub...I would have invited them into our basement but the thing came up on us so fast.. talk about survivors guilt. Also, yes her daughter survived.

I remember going to plaza elementary that got hit and cleaning up debris. The devastation was astonishing. Trees had every leaf and branch stripped. Piles of wood from houses. Cars and trucks crushed and upside down. The city made all the home owners move all the remnants of their houses to the curb to be picked up. I dug through piles of debris looking for personal items and made piles so the owners could take them. Seeing grass ripped from the ground is insane.

I live in Bordentown, which is right outside Trenton, NJ. I never see my town on the news' radar, until that day. While it wasn't this specific tornado, an EF1 touched down just across the Delaware river, and 6ABC zoomed in to the path of the tornado. I saw it would barely miss Bordentown, but it was really scary.

I live in Oklahoma city, not to far from Moore. My Girlfriend and her family lost their house in the may 3rd tornado. For those of you who dont know.... in oklahoma we have Dust Devils that Spike to an f3 in seconds. I watched one rip apart half an airfield in seconds and the dissipate. Yhe destruction is not done justice on screen when you look with your eyes at what used to be a neighborhood and is now a wasteland. Welcome to Moore.

Staying in Joplin tonight on the way home from a trip. Proud of how much the city has built back since the tornado. Hits different when you're at the place instead of just hearing about it from afar.

Just after the 12 minute mark, I did notice you saying the "March 26th"tornado. Other than this, I'm really impressed with the narration and the fact that you only included music where you thought it was appropriate, and I really appreciate that. All in all, this is as I said earlier a superb video, and I look forward to hearing more.
