I really appreciate that you told the stories of the people who tragically lost their lives in this terrible storm. This might just be a story to us, but to those who lived through it, this is a tragedy that impacted their lives forever. Thank you for always being respectful, sensitive, and doing your research. You're a great storyteller and the human element you weave into your videos makes them stand out. Keep it up!

Thank you for your videos, you definitely are truly talented in your story telling. Thank you for honoring the lives lost in this Tornado, you are one of a kind…. As a Tornado Survivor myself in an unlikely and commonly overlooked place in SW VA. I was 3 years old when the 2002 Tornado struck Bedford County VA at F-2 strength, I still remember the roar of the tornado, the pressure difference with my ears popping and my father on top of me as the tornado passed a few hundred yards from us.

I was 8 when this tornado took place. My sister's dad lived in Millbury at the time. I remember driving there with my mom and dad to pick my sister up the next morning and just seeing the devastation that took place. His house was basically untouched compared to the houses a street over. Just mortifying.

I worked at Baypark Hospital when the tornado hit. The pond in front of the hospital had white caps due to the intense wind. The horizontal rain was pounding against the glass in the ICU waiting area. I remember the family whose father was in the hospital visiting that night. Later we all heard what happened on their way home.....we were all devastated. Great documentary!

Thank you for covering this tornado. I was a few miles away in downtown Toledo when it hit. I was on the phone with family who lived in a small town adjacent to the path, checking to make sure they were okay. All of a sudden you heard the wind and the phone cut out. The tornado was rain-wrapped and it was so dark outside you could not see it. The rain was coming down so hard in Toledo you couldn't see in front of you. I ran to my car as I needed to drive a few miles back to my house and I was drenched just walking the few steps. I've never seen it rain that hard. The tornado sirens were going off all night in my county (Lucas) and Wood County. Every time you thought you could go to sleep you would hear the sirens go off again and panicked. The people who lost their lives and the devastation it brought to the area was heartbreaking. Thank you again for covering this. 💜

I was a third grader in 2010 when this monster came through our area, Perrysburg, which is next to Millbury. My mom and I were in the tub under a mattress with bike helmets on while listening to the weather reports on the TV and my step dad went out to smoke on the front porch. He said he could see the clouds twisting and spinning even as late as it was. Then we felt the pressure drop and our area went quiet. This was when the ‘nader was on the ground about 4 miles east of us, tearing up Millbury and then the Lake school. Seeing the totaled school busses and the destroyed school was so surreal. I also remember seeing a bicycle twisted and lodged up in a tree and then the flipped train cars in the rail depot by the highway. This F4 was nothing to tussle with, especially in the dead of night. Thanks for shedding some light on this as it was one of, if not the scariest tornadic event of my childhood.

I was 4 years old when this tornado hit. I was in Columbus so I was safe, but my grandparents were right in the path. They didn’t get hit but there was roof damage due to all the wind and hail. My mom actually went out for the next few days to help with the damage while my aunt took care of me. Being 4, I never knew what was going on, but now I’m 17 and I understand it thoroughly. Truly devastating

I remember this night quite well, I was out chasing and came dangerously close to it as it was moving through the Moline area. I was on 795 at the exit for east Broadway. I continued to track the storm, taking numerous detours due to down lines and debris. I ended my chase when I came upon a road block at SR51 (Woodville Rd) and Hille Dr, where I proceeded to assist in search and rescue before joining a group of residents in heading over to assist on main. There's an old saying that you see it on TV, but you don't really it at all. But, once you see it first hand, you never see it any other way. That's so true for so many. Unfortunately, for me, it wasn't the first time, in my own area, yes, but I've been through tornado aftermath and S&R in several places. God speed to the 7 victims of this tragic night, and God bless the survivors and those who came to help in cleanup and rebuilding.

You beautifully honored the unfortunate victims of this tragic event and did so with respect and reverence. My ex husband and his friend/former owner of DRACONi Digital installed them long before the tornado. We drove around for a bit shortly after, completely shocked about what we were seeing. We went to Service Spring and aided however we could at the township building. It was a terrible night and, in my eyes, an equally terrible morning when we could see the full extent of the damage.

The focus on those who died reminds me of the Storm Stories episode of a tornado that "only" took 2 lives in Maryland, a little bit after 9/11. The focus of the episode was largely on the family of the two sisters who passed away and on the sisters themselves. This episode of Storm Stories and other videos, like this one, are the main reason why I don't like to say a tornado "only" took however many lives.

Weird but I live in wheeling wv where Ohio and PA is a hip hop away. Our family always travel to Ohio for everything bc it’s so different. Within 20 minutes traveling west, your in the mid west with the endless farmland and plains. So many small little towns. I love Ohio and when I had to drive to peebles ir was the most pleasant drive (except going through Zanesville) and there are some mountains when you start going south. Anyhow, we never knew just 2 hours away, a massive tornado ever struck until today after watching your video. It does give me an eerie feeling bc everyone feels safe as long as you live east of Dayton Ohio. Wheeling to st.clairsville still has the foothills and surprisingly there are hardly any tornados. Out of 3 generations no tornados ever went through these areas. Except in 2020 I do believe one summer day we had a tornado outbreak but they were extremely weak very short lived ones and if it wasn’t for everyone having a cell phone, then the one in Belmont county would have never been taped. But I dk this just blows my mind that just 2 hours away a tornado struck.

My dog is part of all my tornado action plans, and we drill for them so she knows how to react and what to do. My dog is family just as much as any human, and it's comforting to see other people feel that way as well.
