wow. the voicings man... You always got this good ear for good sounds. 💥💥💥 I've got questions though, do you think it's too late for me to learn keyboard? I'm already 24 but I got no proper training with keys... Also, if YES... where's the best place to start???
@stefanguy2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much bro! 🙏🏾 . In answer to your question, not at all! You’re still young bro. Granted it is easier to learn when you’re younger but it’s by no means too late. Personally I learned by learning songs. Popular songs and by playing at church where i’d have to learn new songs every few weeks. This exposed me to a lot of chords and chord progressions and obviously honed my playing. I started learning theory much later on and tbh still have a lot to learn!

I like this a lot. I would think it is easier to consider it in Bm. then its a simple 4-3-2-5-1 progression with a diminished to get you back to the minor 4. love your content
@stefanguy2 жыл бұрын
Yeah you’re right. I considered it to be in Bm too but I always call chords in the relative major. As it made things simpler calling numbers in a band not worrying if it’s major or minor. So I just stuck with it. But I’m going to change it to Bm in the description cause you’re right it does make it easier. Thanks for the feedback! And glad to hear you love the content man 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

How do you incorporate other songs chords in your own songs? Also, I love your videos. You’re like a major reason why I can’t stay off KZbin lol
@stefanguy2 жыл бұрын
Hey Eric thank you man! Sorry about contributing so much to your screen time 😂 but at least it’s educational!! Appreciate the support! How do I incorporate other other songs chords. Well if a song has a chord progression I’d like to use, i’d often start with the chord progression. And then get the song that it’s taken from out of my mind. I may voice the chords differently, or I may change one or two chords. There’s no real rule. It also depends on the sound I’m using it with. But chord progressions are always a great place to start.

You make things sounds great man! but I would love to see you do a song that is not a production song. This would teach people how to develop a mindset of their own to make chords rather than take something already produced, mix it around and "call it their own". Can you make a Stefan Song jam tut session that's a little dumbed down for guys lie me who are self learning? Like don't have so many fingers being used, we can learn to add that over time, just something simple

I created a Chord Progression I never heard used before. So I looked it up. To see if there are others to use it? Your Chord Progression is close to mine. Mine has no 5. Mine goes 4,4,4,4. 3,3,3,3, 2,2,2,2, 1,1,1,1 Then back to the 4 Chord. Mines in Key of E blues. (G#, G, F#, E) Close but different. It might even be III,III,III,III, to iii,iii,iii,iii. That's what the beat wanted.

Thanks bro! Practice makes perfect brother, learning chords to songs is a great place to start! I haven't used those modes in all honesty.
