Congrats for the amazing work y’all do! I speak Spanish at a pretty decent conversational level, and can understand 9/10 medias I see in the language (the only exception are grammatical structures I’ve never heard before, and academic level vocab), however I never really educated myself in the language, it was fully taught through immersion in San Antonio, and Phoenix, so videos like this help me to actually understand the language and feel more confident/educated in my second language! ¡Mil gracias!

@@spanishunraveled thanks, I'm doing a crash course in Hindi at the moment because I am working with a couple of people who speak Hindi natively and feel like i should speak their language as well just to show some respect...... and i thought Spanish was hard, geez.... pan comido compared to Hindi but I'm making good progress.

You say, 'de vuelta en la farmacia', and in English, you say it's Turn Left at the pharmacy... I am wondering where the 'LEFT' is indicated. Sounds like, 'turn around at the pharmacy'. Please Help me understand. Thanks!
@spanishunraveled12 күн бұрын
Oops, that looks like a mistake! It should have said 'de vuelta a la izquierda en la farmacia" which means "turn left when you get to the pharmacy". So sorry about that!
@ChrisCaledon13 күн бұрын
I'm learning spanish, but am wondering if Mexican Spanish is the same as Las Terrenas, DR spanish. When I type into my translation (Google), your sentences are not the same. You say, '... comina hasta topar con pared.' and the translator says, 'walk until you hit a wall.', although in english it is supposed to mean, 'at the end of the street'. Google says, 'a la fin de la calle.' HELP! You two work so great together. Please keep these videos coming! Thank you.
@spanishunraveled12 күн бұрын
Hey Chris :) Yeah, that expression is very Mexican... 'topar con pared' is used more figuratively (because the end if the street is often a wall) 😊

Porque no nos hacen falta lo, los, la, las?
@spanishunraveled15 күн бұрын
Hey :) With "hacer falta", we almost always use indirect object pronouns (me, te, le, nos, les) because, like "gustar," the verb focuses on who is affected by the lack or need. ¡Saludos!

Soy pequeña también, solo 1.5 m, entonces quiero solamente viajar con una maleta ligera no tan grande, y un "back pack". Como decimos en inglés: I travel light and simple. I wash my clothes during travel, so that I don't need one outfit per day. I also only travel with the shoes I have on my feet, plus one pair of sandals. If I need something that I hadn't packed, then I can always buy it there -- which need has honestly never happened.
@spanishunraveled15 күн бұрын
Hey :) Yeah, traveling light is the way to go (especially with kids!!). You're so right - everything you need is easy to find abroad anyway. Have a great Xmas 🎅

This is a great tool. I use it. However, you could end up speaking a cyborg dialect. What happens when you land in a spanish country and nobody sounds like chatgpt? It won't make you a fluent speaker and you won't be a fluent listener. Like I said it's a good tool but you shouldn't mislead people to think this is some shortcut or magic to fluency.
@spanishunraveled28 күн бұрын
Hey :) Never said it was a shortcut to fluency, but it DOES make language learning way easier. You 100% need the paid version though... it's so much better. Un abrazo desde México 🤗
