i can relate, can remember the first coffee (also had all kinds of teas and chocolate) of the day made me feel on top of the world but then the physical and mental effects later on in the addiction really sucked. drank it from dawn to dusk. couldn't actually fall asleep unless i had enough throughout the day, would have to get out of bed to brew 2 cups. how you feel after quitting for a while and going back is what keeps people addicted to any substance. there's absolutely no point in ever drinking it, it actually dehydrates you and makes you lose minerals instead of gaining it, plain water is actually better.

Really good info on iodine. I can't do the drops, though, too much trouble. I take a little 225 mcg pill when I remember. I figure it's better than nothing. I can't do liver. I would just choose death if liver was a requirement to live. Your dog is beautiful.

Give it a month or more and your gut may improve

I need to take betaine hcl (without pepsine) and ox bile or tudca if i want to digest anything. That helps a ton. With energy and digestion too. I went from not being able to digest a cup of water to eating pizza and lots of meat... if u have any questions about it u can contact me. I lost my gallbladder 2 years ago. I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism but i heald it with absorbing nutrients and iron. I gained back 12kg In more than a year.

I've noticed that low thyroid also brings about low vitamin D because you need thyroid to do the conversion Yes, low thyroid/adrenal will cause low stomach acid and thus stomach bugs It's a shame that doctors don't treat us as bioindividuals and don't even do the basics correctly. We all need to have our hormones in balance Dr. Saladino's video about why he quit carnivore clearly illustrates that it wrecked his hormones and I've had all the symptoms he's had. I don't know how much iodine and saturated fat can help - it seems like those who are skinny and have a history of low hormones, don't do well on carnivore long-term Dr. Elizabeth Bright treats all her patients with high fat carnivore and iodine but I don't see how that can be possible. Even with high fat, it seems like keto does a lot of hormonal damage (it makes your body think it's starving) if you're already skinny

Thanks for your comment. I've been trying different things lately, seems like no matter how good I eat, when the pollution goes up I get very ill. A few houses near me are burning coal and when the wind is low and the coal smoke builds up my chest and stomach get bad. In the summer with warm weather and low pollution I get a lot better, with the winter I get a lot worse. I'm hoping to relocate one day and see if I can do better in a less polluted area.

To much liver is not good for you, to much iron, stop eating peanut butter and potatoes and eat more fats and creams to put on weight, I also love my coffee and using a flask and the small cup which comes with it, I use two tea spoons of coffee and around 4 times a day hoping to cut down to one teas spoons of coffee until am coffee free, have you looked into your oxolites in the foods your eating that could be your proplem, also coffee suppresses your hunger.

I've tried a little potatoes again recently and it effects my health in a bad way. I've cut down to liver to now and again. When I go 100% all meat I seem to lose weight. I seem to have trouble with dairy and eggs which I know could help me gain weight. Maybe if I could get more fat adapted that could help me gain some weight, I will keep trying until I work out what's best for me. Couple of thoughts..you should eat the same amount of protein everyday based around your ideal weight..if you want to be 140lbs then eat 140g of protein everyday. I have seen a number of carnivores experiment with resistant starch, basically they cook potatoes or rice then let it cool, refrigerate it and eat it the next day..the result is a much less extreme blood sugar spike however don’t know if that will help with stomach pain / the runs but might be worth a try if you want to include carbs for potential weight gain. Personal opinion on salt is we do need quite a bit when doing lower carb / carnivore

M.E sufferer for 5 years. I know the misery all too well. Started off mild, was able to go for light walks, even though I felt like I had a permanent hangover and old ladies would overtake me. Doctors just said I was unfit. Then I had a real bad crash and I've been housebound ever since. The loss of independence has been really hard to deal with, I can't do hardly anything for myself. Bad enough being ill, not knowing what's happening to you without all the gaslighting from people. No wonder many disabled folks go have so many chips on their shoulders, getting treated like dirt is exhausting. Carnivore has helped with the inflammation, pain and depression side of things. Sleep is hit or miss. Electrolytes help.

Hi, I don't know how I missed this comment. How are are you doing now, are you still on the carnivore diet? Have you tried supplementing with Iodine? I've been a week now using Lugol's drops 12%. It turns out that on the carnivore diet especially lion diet, there is very little iodine. Also with me/cfs sufferers, they can also be low thyroid. Blood tests are not that accurate as they don't show the T3 hormone levels, so even if you have T4 in the range your T3 could still be low because the T4 may not be converting correctly, I've read about 80% of me/cfs people are hypothyroid or have low level hashimoto disease. I did a recent video talking about it some, (its a bit of a long vid though), & will be doing some more better ones soon 👍

30 years living with ME and its conditions at peak level has been a life sentence i have hated each and every day. People who dont know or understand this condition will never ever understand the pain, stress and demands it takes on your mind and body as you have to combat several different symptoms of this condition which can flare badly at ant given time. Its hard enough to live with CFS and the nightmare sleeping pattern and severe lack of energy you have to cope with but you can add to that extreme sickness that lasts years, brain fog making you struggle to think properly, overall body pain and headaches and anxiety leading in y case to panic attacks when in public. At 52 this month i will have had this condition and seen the issues with doctors who dont accept its real or people who dont know what the condition really is when you get a referral to speak to someone. My heart breaks for anyone who suffers this as it can be deadly and people suffer long term pain and isolation before they pass and more needs to be done to highlight this condition so that we have someone and somewhere to go for some sort of treatment

@curlers8798 I 100% agree 👍Another problem is that people with this can look healthy so doctors just think it's all in their minds. I've had some really bad days after I've done too much exercise where I've been in bed for days and actually felt like I was dying and kept thinking that if I keep getting ill like this one day it could kill me. Carnivore has helped a lot, but there needs to be more help and understanding of the condition available because my social life has deteriorated with this and when the pollution gets bad I don't want to leave the house, so it can be socially isolation, making anxiety symptoms even worse.

When i think back to my initial period of sickness with this i was 8 months bed ridden with my old doc not understanding what i was dealing with. 15 years of sickness where as soon as i ate something i would have an hour of will it stay or will i be sick again. Check for B12 deficiency, magnesium, pre diabetes or full diabetes, liver function etc. Examine your breathing. Spend some time breathing deeply into the stomach (diaphragmatic breathing) Fully oxygenate yourself. Assess your sleep. Are you getting enough quality sleep? Do you have insomnia, restless legs, or sleep apnea. Melatonin at low dose can really help with most except apnea. Go to basics.. Sleep, hydration, breathing, electrolytes. Could be a combination.
