Congratulations on the move. What is the runtime for a heat pump dryer?
@mattie177 күн бұрын
@@andrewclarke3622 around 2 hours for nearby towel loads. Less than for most other loads

Thats kinda what I though. They are starting to show up here in the states too. I like the fact that they can be placed just about anywhere. The only problem that I can see is the voltage here is half of what you have in Austrailia. A heat pump here wouild use 120v. A comventional electric dryer woiuld use 220v.

G'day Matt, I sure hope your dryer is trouble free, I have an earlier model DH9060P1 and although I've had it for nearly 4 years it's been a pain in the arse, it's super loud and thumpy on my timber floors, it near always tangles everything unless you use the only cycle that reverses which is the sheet cycle. It takes forever to dry stuff , most times about 3 hours , the bottom filter is also a pain that I clean every single time I use it and it's a shit filter too so I have to vacuum the condenser fins religiously every week, but I put up with it because it's a good looking machine and I paid a lot of money for it. P.s fisher and paykels customer service is atrocious. Love your videos, and enjoy having a place to your self. Rgds mick

There is no middle spray arm but does have a center wash tower that raises up from the center of the bottom wash arm to wash the top rack, you can not put bowls or pots over the center area on the bottom rack, if so, will block the wash tower and the top rack will not be totally clean.

Cool machine ! The only Japanese machines we had here in the U.S. was the smaller Hitachi, Sanyo machines and only with those bottom spinning discs. It’s so nice to see what was available around the world when this was made.

Do you prefer LG top loaders or Fisher and Paykel? We are replacing our old Fisher and Paykel top loader and trying to decide between the brands. Sounds like you are quite happy with this machine.
@mattie1727 күн бұрын
This is a great machine! Fisher and Paykel are not as good as they used to be so if I were to choose I would choose this over fisher and paykel at this moment

@mattie17 thanks for replying! What do you think of LG's cheaper model. WTL3-09G (9kg). Doesn't have steam but has a lot of the same features as the 12kg

@ I think they are a good option! They have all that you need to get through your weekly wash and will do it well if you load it properly and keep it maintained. Regular Hot washes are your friend to prevent build up issues

I remember that I had this same washing machine but in red (we had painted it) and I remember that it lasted approximately 24 years in my home, unfortunately the door lock and the timer had broken, but it was one of the best in the sense of "washing" . I also remember that whenever we started to wash the duvets, she would jump and go crazy when she accelerated suddenly.

Brought this in local electrical store and have had the drum replaced 3 times in over a year as it bangs like cement mixer even with light clothes when spinning , another problem I'm having is the bloody softener drawer is constantly full of water , also there's a clicking sound when it spins one direction then to another direction

Quite a surprise seeing this model in Australia. I'm from India and my parents have had the Indian version (branded IFB Easy Dry 550) for 20 years. Any idea if the Australian models were made locally or imported from India? The one I have was made quite close to where I live.

Vulcan made fairly good machines. That there was a nightly sound of my childhood. Except we had a later basic knob model in white. And they were loud which was made louder by the polished floor boards in the kitchen
