Yes you are right. On Paper they are. But they are heavily subsidized. That's probably what's keeping them afloat right now.... barely.

She requested at the time of filming to not introduce her. Later on she felt comfortable having me add her name at the bottom of the screen when she welcomed me into the factory. Now you know. ;)

As a trucker i would prefer the rear engine coach for some additional reasons. traction and power are now on same end of the bus not opposite ends, also no drive shaft to twist or maintain, disconnect for towing etc. plus i can see around corners easier w/o trying to put the engine through a crosswalk to check for on coming 4 wheelers on their phones🤣😂

The California justice system is the worst justice system in United States. Democrats have destroyed any kind of rehabilitation in prisons. You now have to call inmates guests it’s incredible you can’t call and it made an inmate people do bad shit in America and you just have the president. Just forgive them while all of us continue to pay astronomical taxes to pay for public employees.

I used to drive an MCI D45 CNG-fueled model for Sunline Transit. They had 3-4 such buses. It was a commuter-style used mainly to transport students among campuses of California State University San Bernardino and nearby transit stations. It was about 170 miles round trip. Extra CNG tanks were installed to give them the range. One stop was a commuter rail/bus station that gave residents of the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs) access to the bus/Lite Rail/Commuter rail resources of Los Angeles Metro including to LAX, other area airports, and Amtrak at Union Station.

Please look up a bus called the CYCLOPS its biger than a jumbo cruiser it was featured in a 1976 movie called The Big bus. Please look this movie up I'm anxious to hear your opinion on it. I love buses myself and it's good to know that someone else out there likes buses as much as I do.

Gonna chime in here. I am an insurance adjuster (20 years in the insurance industry). As a child…my biggest dream was to become a truck driver or a bus driver. My parents’ took my siblings and I on many trips and during those trips…I would press my forehead against the window (of the 69’ Buick Elektra or the 79’ Fleetwood Brougham) while those big, pretty, blue Steelcase tractor trailers with all the clearance lights would zoom past us on the interstate or when those charter buses would zoom past in the passing lane! I thought those big machines rolling were the coolest thing on earth so much so that I would draw rigs in class! Well…I’m getting my CDL presently and going to start driving a school bus in my school district early before my day starts at home and hope to work up to a charter bus. I am up there in age (54) but it’s never too late to go back to recapture and/or live out your dreams. Wish me luck?

@@rodneywalker6609 thank you for taking the time to write this. We have a lot of drivers that make this their 2nd career. I have a driver that used to be a university professor, I have a lot of retired pastors, I have a couple of attorneys and air traffic controllers.. so I can definitely relate to what you wrote here. I'm very happy for you that you're going after a childhood dream. I definitely wish you nothing but luck and safe travels. Maybe one day we will meet each other over the road somewhere.

It is a good idea to ask management if they have made the trip before incase there are low bridges or any other surprises ! It is nice to map the trip out ahead of time so you don't look like you don't know where your going.

How do I contact you James for a job as a Driver for Peoria?

Remember the front door if not obstructed is an emergency exit. Also the emergency exit lables on the hatches and windows should be readable I feel incase I get nocked out the passengers can figure them out!

Wow, this was so insightful, I was particularly impressed that there were tough questions and they weren't ignored.. I remember VanHool as a partner in the construction on city buses in Dublin, Ireland way back in the day and how fascinated I was in the engineering of such buses as a kid. VDL is now very prominent in our regional bus network here in Ireland I'm suer the future of VanHool is safe. I was so proud to see you drive a coach that will be on our roads, keep up the great work.

After my retirement, I want to tour the US and Canada. I do not like to drive for hours on end, so I am mainly going to use Amtrak and busses. Hopefully not this particular type of buss! 😂😅 Btw cool buss! In my country, the Netherlands, most prisoners are transported by small vans, mostly of the Mercedes Sprinter type.

here in the philippines if your planning to buy a korean bus its best to choose a used bus imported from korea because here in the philippines if you buy one straight from HARI (Hyundai Asia Resources Inc) brand new well the specs might not impress you i mean imagine buying a Hyundai bus that is brand new and gives you what 380ps of power euro 4 engine and 5 speed manual while if you buy the same bus secondhand imported from korea well it gives you 425ps of power euro 4 to euro 5 engine and 6 speed manual plus its cheaper than the brand new one the only downside is since its secondhand there might be problems that may arise so choose what you buy wisely and inspect the vehicle that you are buying for any hidden problems
