Congrats, James!!! Your ideas of how to be a good leader are great. As a former middle-level manager, all I can say is make sure your staff is well- trained, remove the obstacles that keep them from doing a great job, equip them with the tools the need to do a great job, and get the hell out of the way and let them do great things! But don't forget, when they do great things, let them know they are great! People don't quit jobs, they quit poor leaders. Best of luck in your new journey!

That was oh so true at the transit system I worked for. There were several of us who had the gumption and Leadership to make things work But as time went on the management level swelled and most of them didn't have any concept of how things work. I always made it a point to say those simple words please and thank you and I meant it and the people knew that it was from the heart. Even though certain days could be tougher challenges I actually enjoyed going to work to see if I could beat the odds and keep everything going smoothly because that's how the transportation industry is

Congratulations. I’m a retired heavy equipment mechanic that is now driving coaches. Why am I working, driving coach’s are fun. A couple days a week keeps me going. I’m willing to bet you will still be behind the wheel, maybe not as often as you would want.

Congrats James, I saw this a week ago on PCC page. I am kinda the same way. I don't drive a bus anymore but I would only drive here in Denver for arrow cause the Fleet manager gene was such a smart guy, I only wanted to drive for the best. I even only bought busses from arrow when i started my own company, something to be said about good companies. I bought my first bus at 17. so 25 years ago. even though I don't play with buses anymore, Still part f the motorcoach world. Congrats James!! BTW am a setra boy at heart. Thank Gene for that. :-)

Following your KZbin channel for some time already and seeing you progress to being the company's CEO is a heartwarming moment. Stepping into the CEO's shoes definitely brings some uncertainty.
