Great song, but the film was about how terrible right wing fans were. The whole film was probably scripted by the communist party, or was it just the establishments first stage in their plans to control the minds of the youth back then. I always noticed that the anti nazi flags and pendants looked identical wherever you went.. it dawned on me in later years they were using the same centralised print apparatus. A grass roots organisation would have had different type faces and handwritten messages. Not this lot..straight from the centeral committee. They ruined choice of bandsthat you could see live. They turned up with their identical posters and flags basically censoring what bands you could go and see. All with their mindless chanting and violent attacks when there were enough of them. That took a lot of organising, more than ordinary young people spontaneously fighting the evils of nationalism. The vast vast majority of young people back then just wanted a night out. Fk rock against racism.

So stunning. I remember it from the 80s but hadn’t listened to it for 35 years. I hadn’t realised what a masterpiece the solo is

In the book it's mentioned rabbits call everything past 4.. a lot. So.. The black rabbit saying thousands doesn't neccessarily equal literal thousands. It may just mean a lot. 😅 Since Hazel can't comprehend more than 4 anyway.

Magnificent ending. Sure, the Black Rabbit is on the creepy side, especially when you're like 6 years old... but later on you see him for what he is, neither good nor bad. Just an entity that releases rabbits from the sufferings of the world. And when Hazel's worried about the warren he's leaving behind, the Black Rabbit tells him not to worry as they'll be fine. Perfectly done.

I was just 7 at the start of the 80s I was lucky enough to have the best big sister anyone could ask for she had great taste in music and this was one that makes me think of her. She passed this year and the hole that's left is undescribable but listening to tunes like this and this mortal coil,s song of the siren which I had played at her funeral closes that big empty hole even if its only for 4mins I love the 80s music 🎶 and love my sister RIP mandy mackay Gillespie the best sister ever xxxx
