Sadly some people got dooped by some bad actors. The whole „Artists against AI“ movement that still is going on everywhere, originated in the minds of some very few artists, who took the chance to fearmonger and extend their own reach and following with that. Now we got many artists who won‘t touch AI-tools and sadly with that made themselves unemployable as an artist in the future. They still believe that AI is stealing and still think that pushing a single button is creating the work you see online. But most of the time there is a lot of creative work in the background and the AI-systems are not the artists but the tools. I am an artist and can‘t work as an art director in the advertising field anymore due to my multiple sclerosis and the fast progressing disabilities of my body and the fatigue of my brain. But still, being creative is an equal need for me than eating or drinking and all those AI-tools are a godsend (I am an atheist but hopefully use this word correctly… non native speaker). Both of my hands become more and more paralysed and I can‘t concentrate for longer periods at a time. So having systems that can take over certain parts of a project or helping with a background for my own art just is insanely great. And my former colleagues will use these tools for some impressive work aswell. But all those „AI take our jebs“ morons sadly take their own jobs. The negative side of these amazing days.

@@lldd11 I totally agree and I also am an artist and am into AI-art since disco diffusion, before Stable Diffusion 1.4 was released. And I realised pretty fast that this will allow me to stay creative even when my MS totally messes up my abilities to draw/paint or work in Blender. Sadly there are those who think they still can stop it, call AI-Art-Tools stealing and bs like that. Those people will be unemployable in the future but not because of AI but because they have no idea how to use it. 🤔🤷

Thanks so much Matt, you were so kind with me and I was so unsatisfied with my animations. I did way better in my career with sound effects, subtitles, voiceover, song, and everything. Matt with that expensive price didn't ask for a single revision ! But yeah, I'm so honored! AI filmmaking is already a career. I got 6 orders a day for advertising ! Why not turn that knowledge into cash while the field is still wide open? 👀 Great video as usual Matt! ✌

While I by no means find the video perfect, you have to realize that in order to make something like this, even with all its flaws, it would have taken a huge CGI team and millions of Dollars to make a production like this. This technology is only going to improve and right now it's at its worst it ever will be. In the future every person will have the power of Hollywood production studios behind their finger tips. If you can imagine it, then you can create it. That will be the future of AI in the field of the arts.

Great video Matt. There are 3 primary things that have kept me out of professional AI art: 1) 20 hours for $45 (which is $30 after Fiverr's cut) 2) Fiverr and other platforms are difficult to work with and have bad service for sellers. 3) In 6 months or so people will be able to single-prompt videos like this. Yeah you could make some money quick but prompt engineering won't be a career for long. Thanks though, I appreciate the deep dive on the topic!

I want AI to do my art so I can actually produce a substantial amount of content. I like writing my own plots and designing my own characters, but there's a reason one season of anime has an average 2 million dollar production cost. If people enjoy drawing everything manually, great, they can continue to do so no matter how advanced AI becomes. But I see it as selfish when others protest AI art advancements just so they can either feel special about their contribution to a scarcity of art, or because AI will decrease the monetary value of their work, due to a surplus of high quality content. Basically, AI will allow individuals to achieve what was once impossible for those without millions of dollars to spare. Artists will still be ahead of the curve due to the artistic eye we developed over years of drawing. That perception is an important skill even when directing a team of artists, whether human or AI. I can only speak for myself, but when I am drawing a comic strip, what I think is "I want to see this when it's finished," not "I want to continue stroking the canvas until this is finished." I believe people should embrace major technological advancements and adapt to them rather than trying to force everyone into a primitive box that caters to their own status value. If people with that attitude were regarded, there would be no cameras because "It will put painters out of business." There would be no cars because "It would put horse breeders out of business." I want AI to do my laundry, dishes, and garden so that I can have AI assist me in art production, and give suggestions when I am stuck with something in writing, not so I can spend 100 hours on a few comic pages and realize I am still less than %0.1 finished. AI is a creative superpower for creative people. Just like how it is now, the creative will still be able to create significantly more than the non-creative.

So I have been following you for sometime now and you are spot on with your information and research. I run a dog rescue in Southern Indiana called Wolfpack Rescue and try to use every tool available to help me since I have no other help. You made a live stream video awhile back about how restricted and useless chatgpt has become. I just it a simple question about how I could safely and economicly apply sutures to an adult female dog with a sizable wound. While not life threatening it needed sutures and I needed a suggestion of something to semi -sedate her (NOT anesthetize) and no matter how I phrased the question it flat out refused quoting its guidelines. I'm extremely interested in all aspects of AI but at this point it's becoming utterly useless for the common (non corporate/government) user. I'm so disgusted with it I really want to just stop paying for the upgrade because it's absolutely not worth it anymore. I'm also pretty sure awhile back when open ai announced one of its new products/upgrades it also weirdly included the fact that it also shared its advancement with the government and almost immediately it becomes super restricted and unusable. A coincidence ? Likely not! I'm pretty the super rich and powerful just hijacked the most advanced AI available for themselves leaving for the rest of us a useless shell. Share your thoughts with me like you ask your viewers to do and keep up the good work everyone I introduce you to loves your style and content.

Add better prompt adherence in for example Kling and get away with the clipping you see in maybe half the results there (or that might be from the images too), and you can reduce those 20 hours down to only 2. I think 20 hours is still a bit too much of a hurdle for this to truly explode. But it seems we will get it down soon. Maybe in the next 6 months we can do it in 5 or 4 hours...

I totally agree. But a few things I want improved a bit before I go full out on this: character consistency within Flux and Mystic/Magnific so I don't need multiple subs. And better prompt adherence at Kling, or the comming visually best Video gen (Minimax is best at adherence, but Kling has the best visuals). I don't want to use 6 tools basically. Also I'd love it if we only need 1 picture for character consistency and not 10. I suppose we have to wait for Meta with that.

It is NOT HEALTHY to be spending this much time in front of a computer. I studied to be an animator and was really good at it. Got a job offer - and decided, no. I realized being a slave to a computer is pathetic and sad and such a lonely dark life. To spend all your time on the computer staring at it, never seeing sunlight (I mean Matt... GO OUTSIDE YOU ARE SO PALE IM ACTUALLY WORRIED FOR YOU) isn't healthy. I do travel stuff now, a complete 360 in career change, and get tons of cash for being outside, enjoying gorgeous scenery, and being out in the world enjoying life and company. I just think this whole thing is sad. The real world is outside, not in a computer. Why has everyone lost the plot? I enjoy animating still, but very rarely and only in my moments of true solitude and downtime. I can tell you, I am much happier not being in front of a computer 24/7.

BEWARE USPTO office strictly stated there's no copyright in Ai works, moreover one american already jailed for Ai music & Ai agents farming on Spotify (asking him 16 years prison). So anyone can copy and reuse Ai works worldwide including in USA, so there's no value. Moreover the buyer can file a court case against seller of Ai works if seller hidden that it's Ai made, which is fraud (same article with 16 years are for Spotify guy trial), so it's financial trap mostly to seller than buyer. That Spotify court case, first in history because must be proved that machine made him money, also making Ai made profits altogether as "toxic assets" which can't be legalised in USA & EU. The only thing which can be sold in all Ai industry is ONLY TOOLS, but not works.

Asking what I think about the video AI art… well it is impeccable, but already some of us get used to the AI patterns. They’ve reach somehow to a saturation state from which it seems that cannot go further. I mean I saw so many times on other ppl creations the same fractal like night future city lights, the curved lines which, no matter what the prompt is, they respect the same Bezier parameters, the same algorithm particle system for stars and their distribution on a surface and so on… Looks like there are indeed few thousands patterns whom some obscured teams were used to train these AI-s and in the beginning was wow!… to watch them… but sadly after 2 years of watching them, the mysterious human mind has begun to recognize all these patterns. They (the ppl in charge with this AI training and development) need to find at least a new set of databases, if they are not capable to break through and to come up with a new sorts of algorithms, cause if not, in maximum one year from now, these AI-s will become dull and boring.
@brexitgreens

They've used up all databases. They'll need to find fresh artists and hire them to produce fresh training data… and that might cost them a bit.

@@Hshjshshjsj72727 All of the hubs for hiring artists are vile. They make artists work for peanuts, and then make them compete to do work for even less peanuts. They actively work to devalue artists, and are now even trying to push artists out by promoting AI. They are a problem and not a solution. Think of them as pimps. Would you take money from a pimp, knowing that they abuse their workers in what is already an abusive market, and making money from that?

@@brexitgreens I don't trust you but I agree with you. I know exactly who I am. I am the limelight. I don't seek stardom, I seek a means to; start, grow and support a family.
