This video was soooooo helpful! Thank you so much for your content. This is great! I was about to purchase a new caliper. I was just tubing how easy it was to replace before I made the decision and this video showed me that I can just replace the piston for $9 on rock auto

Lol, I just remembered I don’t have a brake caliper press tool mine broke. Can I use some big pliers to press them back?
@robertkenney60022 күн бұрын
Is it bad to press 1 of the 2 pistons down one at a time? I see you’re using old brake pad to push them both down same time. Which is obviously ideal.

I wouldn't replace the fluid at that point. Lose friction taking out the dirty fluid. It shows it wasn't properly maintained. You might want to just clean the pan, the filter and replace a little, if any at all. Good chance of getting slippage with that lost friction. It will just speed the time table up on that doomed transmission.

Thanks for the video. I rate it a difficulty of 4 out of 5 to get the filter out and a 1 out of 5 to get the new one in. (Don't try if.ypu have a.bad back..lol). In any case, you directions were accurate.

IMO it is unnecessary to disassemble the cyclone, merely removing cyclone from the head and soaking in mild soapy water for a few hours should be enough. Make sure to let it dry thoroughly before assembly.

The following addition: - fill and sand any blemishes before applying fillers - use adhesive tape to create a rolled edge - after applying fillers, re-tape a little further outwards to avoid grey from the filler

You just saved me a lot of time and money on this project. I have the same truck, even the color (280K and still running great). - Very clear and concise instructions. I would recommend the magnet for the handle screws. All was done in just over an hour. Thanks again!

The question is why. Why do you still have laminate countertops with drop in sinks in the third decade of the 21st century? Get rid of the whole top and put stone with undermount sinks. Your house value goes up. Better investment.

There have been a lot of solid points made here and you've taken the criticisms like a champ. I would just like to say one thing for anyone who might read this. No amount of knowledge, planning or safety precautions can 100% prevent a catastrophic failure. It is a possibility no matter what. The best thing any pyro can do is not light these things within 150 feet or so of people, structures or anything flammable. I'm guilty of not doing it and I'm also fully aware that the worst could happen anytime without rhyme or reason. Pyro responsibly. Know the risks and don't lie to yourself. It is very tempting to ignore danger due to the overwhelming desire to put on a good show. Just my words of advice to whomever.

Fantastic video! I have a 97 Toyota Camry with 150k on it. I don’t believe the trans fluid has ever been changed. Has a slight jerk from first to second at higher rpm. Would you recommend a change or a flush?

Excellent video man. I too am planning on doing a full GT40 H/C/I swap. Already have a set of 3 bar heads and an upper/lower intake from a 97 explorer. Still on the fence if I wanna add a cam or just have the heads and lower intake ported. Thoughts? Anyways, keep brining us the good content my friend. I also just subscribed =)

Great video man. I have a set of GT40 heads from a 96 Explorer and was wondering if they are the same 1.6 stamped rockers you have there? Was also considering doing a small cam like and E303 or a TFS stage 1. Thoughts? Thanks man!!!
@knorrg23 күн бұрын
I'm doing this exact setup now. GT40p, TFS1 cam, stamped rockers. Came to the same conclusion OP did with regards to rocker arms and valve covers. I'll post back when It running.
