@@FastFixKZbin I heard from bike ppl it dries out in 2 years, I went to a charity bike workshop to ask for slime, they had True Blue Goo in bulk drum, it cost me 50c for treating 16x1.75 tube

Fine on older cars without tire pressure sensor devices that can get wrecked by slime if you leave it in there too long and tire pressure sensors are pretty expensive. Maybe cheaper than a tow these days. Depends. You need to go to a shop most likely to get the tire removed and the slime cleaned off the sensor before it gets slime damages and slime off the inside tire and get the tire patched properly.

@@OWK000 TPS are over rated anyways. Wife's got a used 4runner with TPS. Light is on full time. They're great if you don't know how to unscrew your valve stem cap and check pressure with a gauge I guess lol. But, I'll bet this type of stuff is why her TPS light was on at purchase.
@OWK0004 ай бұрын
@@WhiteoutMonster Good point: those are hardly necessary. With smog laws in California I worry they would make you maintain the TPS. I have a 1993 car so I don't really worry for myself at this point. I have to research that.

Three corrections that people need to know for this kind of tutorial video, that is very important for everyone's safety: Number 1, that particular bottle is for off highway tires only, (The one for on road emergency tire repair is in the yellow bannered bottle) number 2 you forgot to tell them to shake the bottle for 30 seconds, and third there's a certain distance printed on the bottle that they want you to drive the vehicle (or push the wheelbarrow etc) after putting the slime in pressurizing it to proper tire pressure. It's a great video I just wanted to put those disclaimers in there for anyone watching this hopefully also reading the comments!

Hey Jason, I see the bottle says for off highway passenger vehicles. Has it worked just fine for your car ?
@FastFixYouTube7 ай бұрын
Hello. That disclaimer is for legal reasons. They dont want to be sued for broken TPMS sensors or people who use it as a permanent fix. If you use it to get from your garage to the repair shop, you’re perfectly fine. However, the TPMS sensor can block the slime from going into the tire. If your car has TPMS (very likely) I wouldn’t bother trying this. Better to remove the wheel and bring to the repair shop. Assuming of course you have a means to get the wheel to the shop. Best of luck and sorry this wasn’t of much help.

@FastFixYouTube10 ай бұрын
Hello. TPMS sensors can actually block tire sealing products, so you may not be able to get the stuff in the tire. I don’t have any direct experience with sealants messing up TPMS sensors, but I’m sure it happens. Thanks for the question and best of luck!

I put it in new tires, I have done this for decades, yes decades. but you do need to make sure your tires are balanced first. and the tire has to be used often. it will leak again if tire is not rotated for weekly or so.

The one-gallon size gives these formulas to calculate the amount needed : for low-speed tires (under 45 mph), width (inches) X height (inches) X 0.12 = Oz. required. In metric, width (cm) X height (cm) X 0.55 = mL required. for high-speed tires (over 45 mph), width (inches) X height (inches) X 0.065 = Oz. required. In metric, width (cm) X height (cm) X 0.30 = mL required.

Was reading it says “non highway vehicle.” Any issues from anyone using this for a highway vehicle?
@FastFixYouTube8 ай бұрын
Hello. Remember, this compound is only a temporary fix and shouldn’t be used for extended periods of time. I’d have zero qualms about driving at highway speeds for a short period of time, but the weight of the fluid can affect the wheel balance and cause vibrations or different riding characteristics. Good question and thanks for asking 👍👍

Your slime went right in. Mine has too much air pressure in the clear tube to squeeze it in. What do I do
@0MrDanilo8 ай бұрын
Did you figure this out I have same issue
@FastFixYouTube7 ай бұрын
Hello. Well, if it’s air pressure that’s holding it back. You could always deflate the tire a little bit and see if that helps. Of course she will need to refill it with air. If you don’t have an air compressor this could be a problem so only take out a little bit of air at a time. However, another thing that could be stopping you is the TPM sensor, that is installed. A lot of the time those get in the way and prohibit the slime from going in. I should’ve mentioned that in the video, but I’m kind of just figuring it out. Pretty annoying the factory limits are ability to fix quickly with the TMS sensor in the way. Best of luck I hope you get your tire fixed!
