I can’t say enough about what CS&N brought into my Personal Life as well their Huge Global Impact of Audiences wherever they performed! I was so lucky 🍀 to have recently seen Graham Nash with Joni Mitchell last October it was Magnificent! RIP David! One of the best bands I’ve ever heard. This live performance doesn’t measure up to the perfection of the 1972 album, and I read that the reason they broke up was due to their individual substance abuse problems,ie Dallas Taylor’s heroin addiction etc, but I’m still happy to be able to see this performance and to see the individual players in action. Manassas is the first album I’m listening to this New Year’s Day in the year of our Lord 2025 at 5 am! Great music never gets old! Good way to begin the new year!

I am partial to the Jefferson Airplane's version from the album Volunteers. It has more power. Jorma Kaukonen's guitar is like a forth vocal part.

This song is one occasion when music went above any standard, any compare. In fact, there is NO compare. It is sheer talent and musicality, simply a masterpiece not often reached before or after. A wonder. Steve Stills is a creator like there has seldom been, he is God's gift to humanity.
